Finished episode 4, and I like it very much. It's not all that different than previous seasons, I think it's just as good anyway.
Maria is some hot piece of Colombian hardware, god damn Me Gusta
I only hope that the idiot son of one of the Cali godfathers (the cuntfaced man-child) is going to get punched in his face soon. Laughing

Still good... but
The season failed to tell the Narcos story. To much focus on the cops side.
The Spanish cast was not up to the part.

the problem is how can they go on like this in se4 , its getting rather dull, bad guys hiding, good guys doing silly shit to find em.

and they have the sicario movie to compete with when it comes to expectations.

they will need a fuckton of new interesting characters and insane batshit crazy bad guys for mexican cartels we all come to expect from the shield/breaking bad/ etcetera

I finally found the time to watch the season, what a pleasant surprise, once again los putos Netflixos have managed to create a highly compelling ride from start to finish, sombreros off to them. So Much Win
After the loss of the fulcrum of the series I was prepared for something resembling an advanced filler, but damn, the show just carried on with the same adrenalinic beat instead, focusing on multiple characters while keeping the interest alive, with more parallel plots, a ton of genuine tension, slimy intrigues, brutal shootouts and the traditional spot-on directing and editing.

There wasn't anyone who reached Moura's acting and personality (reason why the second season is still my personal favourite), but the entire cast did a great job, the Rodriguez brothers were perfect with their differences, Higuain was believable as well as Pacho and Chepe, the senoritas were bonitas (especially Taliana Vargas), plus the trusty Pedro who had a bigger role and didn't disappoint, all the usual quality was there. Another story ended, but there's a new one ready to begin, hoping that the production crew can still find the right alchemy. if they make it out alive, that is :<

It has a slow start and none of the Rodriguez brothers have the charisma of Escobar, but it gets better with every ep and ends strongly. Still a good show

Yeah, we must arm ourselves with patience, they've filmed two episodes (so far). There's also this bit about Pedro Pascal since his involvement was unclear:

Quote:
When did you know that you would retire DEA agent Javier Pena from the story, and with that decision, that Pedro Pascal would no longer be the star of the show?
- It was a part of the plan as early as season two. The design was always to finish out the Colombian story and the players that we’ve come to know there, and then start anew in Mexico.

So, Pascal was aware of the plan and kept it a secret?
- Yes. Although, he alternated between asking us to kill off his character at one point and then wondering, "Hey, maybe he can come back." I’d like to think that he still hasn’t made up his mind about whether he wants to come back. (Laughs.) It is after all an intersecting universe — the Mexicans did a lot of business with the Colombians.

Are you confirming, then, that he won’t appear at all in the upcoming season?
- I’m confirming that it’s not about him.

Looks good, I'm genuinely excited. I'm confused about Pascal's involvement, because they way S3 ended I was sure he was going to be the lead in S4.

Didn't like the start at all, first 3 or 4 episodes, took a long break from it. The rest of the season was incredible, had to watch all episode in almost 1 take.

Didn't know that the "main" guy of the season "Jorge" was a Swede until i heard him speak english - "wtf, this is a Swede!", had to google him and now i remember that i've seen him before in Swedish TV series etc.

Edit: also read an interview with the bloke. A typical Swedish douche leftist, has to act like the good guy and speak about "all the racism" (he lives in the least racist country in the world..) and defend muslims running over people with trucks.. what an ass (not that i believed anything else lol)

First look at Luna and Peña in the upcoming season:

Luna will be playing Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo, founder and capo of the Guadalajara Cartel.

Peña will be playing Kiki Camarena, an undercover mexican american DEA agent.

He's one of the most versatile actors that I've seen lately, his acting range is broad. But yeah he's played lots of annoying characters.

But even in serious roles he ends up being an obnoxious ass for some reason. He's really learned to be annoying in a variety of ways with his acting Laughing
