Actually, you can tell apart a chinese from a korean or a japanese. But of course, you would have to watch quite a bit of j-drama, k-drama and chinese-drama
But, yeah, i can see the next outcry: an american korean playing a japanese (well, let's also not forget about the "love" between those two nations).
This Hellboy version looks so pissed while in comic books he was always stoic and kind of laid back no matter what happened. Well exactly how he was in Del Toros' versions.

Seems there's quite a lot of CGI, nothing out of the ordinary for today's comic book flicks, but with the promise of it being R-rated (we'll see about that...), I hoped for more grounded film making.
Looks ok otherwise.

The leaked todays trailer was r-rated, gore and blood. Don't worry, the headshots are messy and this yt trailer is missing a scene with huge monster as it cuts some poor sob in half.
The thing that bothers me is - they took one of the last stories from HB series which was pretty bleak and Hellboy was fed up with him being the harbinger of doom and messed it up with other stories + it looks like his genesis and make it a comedy.
Also I don't like the new make up, looks like 90's B horrors stuff.
On the other hand of doom, the new Ron and Del's HB would have been about Hellboys' kids so there's that.
Anyway gonna see it in cinema but I don't count it to be on par with GDT version.
