Tried it through Korea but I'm getting a bad request error. This is with VPN on.
Managed to do it with another VPN. Gave in and got the Ronaldo edition, about $60.
EA's cock in my ass sure feels nice.

dunno what you are doing, but i used already 7 hours of the trial and havent had any failures like the ones you described
though the prematch arena screen bug was in 17 too, most of the time happens when your connection to the opponent gets lost. forward the ports properly and it will happen 1 out of 500 times

what the heck? you mean the game skips the cutscene? thats completely normal in some situations, you just will see the subs on the upper left corner as text

If you're only playing FUT you probably didn't see any bugs. The career mode was littered with them. Pretty sure it's just a trial thing though, hardly anything has changed with the game mode for them to have introduced so many issues.

Yep, it happened in career (manager) mode, forgot to mention that.
I never had those issues in FIFA 17 so I hope it is really just a "trial bug".
Just check the EA forums, many people with the same issues...

/edit activated it but no download button wtf. you can't even preload the game? tried vpns but still no download button.
/edit2 ea chat tells me that it won't be available until the game launches.
NO FUCKING PRELOAD!!! WTF they can suck my black dick.
now im getting angry even before i play the game. a whole new level.
hopefully it will be possible at 16:00 when it's released in NZ

i actually think they fucked up, no preload is kinda strange (and they fucked up with the trial too when it was released). i tried to change the games language to english us (cause thats supported by the jap version for example), it checks the game files and tries to dl the missing stuff which fails (doenst matter with vpn or not), i even set my windows region to japan, didnt worked either. i dont think they intentionally blocked the early unlock (though this year it doenst really matter, it unlocks in less than two hours anymore)

Early unlocking works, just need to keep trying. What helped me on Monday was setting the date a day forward.

Preloading was available this year too. Started on the 21st for those that had the game in library at that time. After that date the keys are not eligible for preload just plain download & play after it's released.
Playing the game with a VPN (Korea) it's possible since several hours ago.

that could explain why its working for a few people, you had to have it in your library before the 21st. but still that sounds like a fuckup from ea
