I just bought an XBOX console. Initially I used to get a screen at startup where I could select whether I was playing a DVD-VIDEO( movie), game and other options. Nowadays I am not able to play movies on my XBOX and it takes me toa screen with MSDASHBOARD etc on loading. Th former screen does not load. I don't have problems playing games though.
If it's a xecuter chip turn on the Xbox and keep pressing the white button on the controller until you get to the chips bios and change the dashboard there to load up when the machine boots up.
If it's not a xecuter chip find out which it is and I'll have a dig about and see what I can find.
As jenni said, it would be helpfull to know how it was modded.
