jesus i thought the game was tough enough, then i got to some island 2 bosses Poker Face
the 30s aesthetic makes the pain even worse, it's like mickey mouse walking past you while whistling in his typical way, then turning to you and saying "GIT GUD" in his mickey mouse voice.

fffuuuuu

Must suck being geriatric gamers like you guys
already made halfway through isle 3. Laughing 152 deaths so far

Hints for the elderly:
- buy charge shot when available - its great for bosses, does a lot of damage
- you get +2 bonus health as final charm it cost 5 coins
- there is at least 1 gold coin hidden per isle, just run around and hammer A button to find it

Does it play well with M+K, or is a gamepad necessary?

"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

It doesn't.
It only supports keyboard.

Now that's a shitty lie. Works and supports Xbox pads.

I was referring to the M+K combo, since it only supports keyboard.

jeez I'm breezin through here, just defeated 3 new bosses in 25 mins Dude Cool
only 1 left and then on to the Finale
I tell ya, the key is sleeping over it, while asleep the brain keeps learning the game and the next day you're way better at it
ok maybe the +2HP upgrade helps as well Razz it's best to use HP charms for Regular and then different ones to get gold (A rating) on the stages (you aren't allowed to lose more than 2 points anyway)

yea i cant understand "gamers" playing something on easy, might as well just watch a youtube playthrough from pewdiefag Laughing

Name one glaring problem with watching a stream of "pewdiefag" instead of playing it yourself.

It's not always about playing at highest difficulty but some games do benefit from this like FEAR. that game was so impressive at higher diff

I can confidently say that this game is responsible for shortening my lifespan considerably...

Also, 32 seconds in is pretty much me every other minute while playing this (not a spoiler, just wanted to save space)! Very Happy Crying or Very sad

Finished the first world and uninstalled - don't really need the pain and torture it offers. People are way too easily amused and entertained these days if shit like this is getting so much praise... "Ooooh, old-school graphics, looks so different and cool - 10/10 guaranteed!" No wonder gaming industry is in a toilet.

Yeah exactly the same here.
I am just not interested in that sort of stuff and uninstalled after first world

Haha, the game isnt even THAT hard, just need to git gud.
This is actually why the gaming industry is going towards shit like loot boxes, when even the self pronounced "hardcore gamers" give up after a few deaths and look for handholding.

Thankfully it seems that the game is doing very well on Steam, nearly 400k copies sold already and counting. Very Happy

I'm taking really slowly (still doing the second island, not without shouting many dio porco's), sipping it like a fine boiling tea. Every single boss keeps amazing me, their design is simply brilliant and with the right amount of challenge for my rusty-but-not-too-much reflexes. It's definitely in my list of the future must-buy titles, feels nice to have genuinely quality and juicy member berries instead of the stale fake stuff that most wannabe devs try to achieve.

I haven't played it yet, but i guess it will be the same for me.
The artstyle is wonderful and is the main reason i will try the game.
Not really a fan of Jump N Run games like this anyways. Though there are still some games in backlog that i plan to play and probably finish, like Rayman Legends.

And funny how some people get so butthurt, when you don't like a game they do. Smile

Does the co-op change the game at all, or does it just become easier when you have two players?
