You farm the money, get the blueprint, think you have something, but you aint got nothing. It's just the blueprint, it's useless.
Then you need 1-5 items to build this thing (materials etc.) each costs more units, or time (farming, grinding, spending hours), ...
Then you have everything, you spend units for materials and such, now that you HAVE everything you have to actually BUILD it.
Building also costs another 150.000 units, plus you have to wait like 20 hours or so.
If you count up all the time + units + missions + everything, even if it's boosted (by some nice friend named "Joe"), it's too expensive.
Result: you get a crappy weapon.
Now to the next crappy weapon / item...
Repeat.
If you repeat this for 6 months, you have a half way nice character.
But know that playing with beefed chars is like playing a whole other game.
That's why there are "Joes" who love this game and "Tonys" who say WTF?
Dunno when you last played it but's it's piss easy to farm anything these days and i got way more stuff build then i have time to lvl, stuff i don't need i sell for plat and buy cosmetics or slots.
They reduced the grind a lot from what it was years ago, if you don't like grinding and crafting at all then this obviously isn't the game for you, i actually spend way more time in D3 or PoE to get my gear btw, Warframe is really tame these days especially since almost nothing is rng based.
There is a reason it's almost universally praised as one of the fairest F2P games on the market now, it's actually fairer then some full price titles these days...
Far from Destiny fanboi, really wanted to like it, but all hope seems to be lost. Love arpg games, shooter looters etc. but this one is hard to love. Still dont understand why this is being compared to Destiny.
I don't either, one is an interesting game, the other isn't.
And it might just be a case of having to deal with the fact that it's just not the game for you if you hate the supposed grind so much. It isn't for everyone, I've seen that in the past.
As it's been said before however, it's WAY less grindy than it once was. Farming all the gear from a new prime access used to take me even months way back, where now I get stuff in the first days to a week from release. And the game constantly throws other rewards at you. Older players will help you get certain things if you ask too.
The game will always be grindy though, it's just how it is, same as with looter aRPGs. Only I think this is way more interesting and engaging, but to each their own.
Things will change a bit with the new update, we'll see where it'll take the game. It's damn mindblowing how much this game evolved over the years however. It's all kind of things now, when at the start their vision was "Left 4 Dead in space with like 7 characters and a couple of weapons".

Because they are both shooter looters? And, they have a lot of similarities?
1 stripe purple belt in JiuJitsu (good grief this takes FOREVER hahah)
It's a hundred times more interesting than any other WFs with common names that is somehow connected to the frame's gimmick (Rhino, Mag, Volt, Nova, etc). At least it's Japanese (which I would not have known if I didn't watch the stream where Rebecca mentioned it).
Oh well, if that's the biggest thing objectionable about the frame, then it will be pretty good.
I think the name's fine. The other proposals weren't more interesting anway, so I don't know... The frame itself seems cool, but I can't say that I'm that eager to play her, more interested in her quest.
I do love her visual design. However I really dislike the fact that they switched her helmets. The current alt helmet was her default in the original design, but they changed it to the one you see in her profile because people didn't like the other one. For fuck's sake... It'll just be a matter of waiting for an alert for it, but still.
I just hope it will give atleast a decent challenge. Right now there is not a single challenge in the game unless you make it challenging for yourself.
Tried this many times, but it feels so randomized in every way from level design, to weapons and that stupid close camera kill it totally.
Hmm? Yes, maps are randomized / procedural, but every tile is hand-crafted with ones like the spy vaults having different permutations so you don't always do them in the exact same way. So actually, it's not that randomized once you play enough to learn the tiles, which in turn allows for extremely quick traversal through them.
Weapons are probably the least randomized amongs all games with loot.
The camera is only close on the ship (which makes sense) and on relays (which doesn't). Maxing the fov makes it quite the opposite in actual gameplay.
@Yondaime I think they're also making a ton because some people prefer buying platinum for cosmetics and even gear or to use in trades. But that's fine, because on the other end of the spectrum there's me, that sure, played a ton because I used to have more time and no money. The only money I put in this game were for Tennogen cosmetics, which are absolutely amazing. Holy shit, is Warframe blessed with some fantastic community artists and creators! I earned everything through playing since 2013. Had to sell gear way back, but then trading was added and I earned enough to get everything back and now my arsenal has pretty much everything, with a ton of cosmetics and plenty of platinum for things to come still.
It's probably the most fair free to play game ever made.
Since I spoke of Tennogen cosmetics and me putting money into that, I was going through the WF subreddit and saw Faven's (Fredrick Aven) new skin for Harrow:
In the thread for that skin people asked him about how much he's making out of this whole deal and while he didn't disclose an exact amount, because it's both not allowed by Steam and not nice to ask for that, he did say he's making enough to live off of this. I think that's awesome!
