According to you. I'm merely repeating stuff that's been known for many years through studies. It even has a name: princess syndrome (a fancy name for what's basically female self-entitlement). I'd suggest you go look it up.

Oh there is one thing I wanted to add. First of all, congrats on getting help and that it seems to have a positive effect.
And second of all... I'm just saying this because I did this stupid shit for a while when I had to get some help...
Don't fucking lie in those sessions (due to shame or whatever) and never keep something for yourself. Be absolutely truthful... no matter how much shame you might feel... the more they know, the better they can help you out and improve the quality of your talks.
Yeah, anyway, keep it up man.

Thanks again to everyone that are supporting me.
I just wanted to say that it means a lot to me. I actually entered into bad period again in last week, although when people ask me I say I'm fine and I smile and joke a lot. But when I stay with myself I feel not as good as I try to project to everyone else. Couple of times I "catched" myself with very bad thoughts that I might actually not see myself in the future as happy person.

Aw, my little spinning "arturito v.2" I'll tell you something I've experienced this morning.
Haven't felt good in the last period of time, felt somewhat depressed, even if I make it look ok, due to various reasons, I'm not motivated enough, bla bla.
So, I drive my wife to work every morning, then going to my office. We sometimes stop by a coffee shop to get our on-the-go. But this morning, the coffee shop was filled with people, which were chatting, the music on the radio was nice and while I was preparing the coffee for ourselves ( pouring sugar and mixing the coffee ), the atmosphere inside infused a positive vibe and suddenly felt very good, thought positively about my workplace and the whole day. I actually returned to the car smiling.
So find something that ticks the right box.

I've been going to therapy lately and some things started to improve.
The last drop that pushed me over the limit happened last week. My ex was contacting me with some stupid informations. At one point I asked her about one girl that I've been flirting with and she started to get annoyed. That girl is a bartender and she said something like "you dropped so low, from me to a bartender". I ignored that. Couple of days later, she wrote me a message on FB to ask me how are things going between me and that new girl. I've seen her message but didn't answer. Last Saturday I went out with another girl (one that I have some history with from very long time ago) and as we were walking we cross path with my ex and her friend. I politely said "Hello" to her and continued walking to a bar with this other girl. In couple of minutes message comes to my FB saying that I am "male gold digger" because this girl that I was with has a lot of money and that my family is "glued" to family of that girl. (fun fact, my sister is in a 5,5 years relationship with a boy that is a distant relative to this girl I was with on Saturday night)
She insulted me, my sister, my whole family in two sentences. I barely kept my cool that night. Of course I didn't reply to any of this.
To top it all, that same night, 3:30 in the morning message comes where she calls me a pussy for not replying to her messages.
This is one crazy girl.

Wouldn't it be just a good idea to cut all ties to your ex? Just remove her from facebook (and any other social-media) and block her number. Or did the therapist advise otherwise?

It's been advised many times and definitively yes.

As long as it's not the HIV test (One had to do it, so I decided to take one for the team :'( )
But what tinkles said, why not block her? She is obviously super toxic

Because ignoring her gives me so much power. I know it pisses her more than blocking her. And she still owes me some books.

Okay I missed most of the rest of the thread.
But this is sadism and only a sicko would want to have control over an ex.
if you don'y move on, you are sicko.

Stop feeding your EGO, with "ignoring her makes me strong", cut the links and be done with it. She keeps poking the fire and you keep getting burned.

Taking it even further, we would need one of those memory wipers from Men in Black, *swoosh* and you forget you ever even knew the girl, no pain, perfect solution imo

So... everything came to an end. I had a birthday last week and she did eventually wrote me a message. I politely replied to that message and again did not contact her. Last night I had a friends at my place to celebrate, we took some pictures, published it on social media (yes, there was that other girl that she saw me with) and she had to write something stupid again. I decided once again just to ignore it and after some time I saw she did delete me and block me.
Oh, and one more thing. In the last week or so I did put her on appear offline. I didn't block her, but I didn't want her to see me online, neither I wanted to see her online.

To me too. I honestly don't understand nor know that person anymore. She wasn't like that or I didn't saw it back then and for a long time i held onto image that I had for her in my head. That image is something that I will always remember about her, but that isn't her anymore.
