Seems like a very easy way to make money in this game is to craft Small Mental Energy Reserves (requires 1 iron ore or sulfur ore + 1 electronic scrap) and then upgrade it all the way to Powerful Energy Reserves which sell for 50 elexit each. For some reason when making the higher level energy reserves it doesn't require any additional ingredients (the exchange rate is 1:1, probably an oversight or a bug). This method is basically unlimited money. To further break the game you can basically craft as many Elex drinks as you want when buying Pure Elex from the Doc (in Outlaw camp) as his Elex stocks replanishes instantly after trading.

The easiest way to get money is to get the barter skill (the one that reduces the purchase prices) and find any vendor that restocks after every trade. It's borderline cheating though.

Yea vendors are easy to abuse for money. Theres tons of cheats already to abuse how they work. Im not gonna use any I feel like it will ruin the game. If this gets to easy it won't be any fun.

I think it's 10%. But even so you buy for 9 and sell for 10. Infinite money.

Ok thanks.
I guess I was right in a prior post (despite being mostly sarcastic)... There's a strong old school vibe in this game that I personally find most welcome.

Just found an upgradeable stronghold whilst doing the main storyline.
This game is jampacked with content.

She has a quest, Angry Girl that you need to finish. I can't say more because it's a spoiler, but it has something to do with clerics. Go talk to their leader.

As an overall game, not so much, but as an RPG is great.

Those Trophy items like Teeth and Ivory Plates, can they be sold or are they used in crafting?

Can you elaborate? Does it get better later on?

I think it's damned good. It got better for me from minute 1.
Better than all PB games since Gothic 2.

It doesn't have all the qualities that make an overall good game. The technical part is a mess from graphics and animations to the character's controls. There isn't much production value either, some of the voice acting bits are laughable and the devs cut corners everywhere. The UI is ugly and lacks basic features, there are a handful of faces for each gender, etc. These are things that matter when judging the quality of a game, but they aren't so impactful from the genre's perspective.
As an RPG Elex does what it supposed to. It throws the players into the skin of a character and gives them all the tools to make that character their own (unless you are a woman ). The game is focused on choices and consequences from the smallest quests to the actual main story. There are ways and ways to get past a situation and they don't always require combat, the outcome differs based on the choices made and it unfolds surprisingly natural. You'll see NPCs affected by your actions as you walk through the world, they talk, they are punished, they die, etc, extremely immersive.
There's also a great sense of progression. The artificial but high difficulty does an amazing job at making you feel weak, so every level counts. You'll get stomped by a mutant but one day you'll return for its head. The character development is quite extensive and you have to make compromises. You want to open chests and hack into safes, then you'll most likely sacrifice combat capabilities.
Even the story (so far) it's well paced and captivating. Things happened in this world and you gradually learn about them. There are plenty of mysteries and revelations that could really go anywhere at this point (still chapter 1).
If you want a proper comparison, Elex is like Bloodlines, a damn messy and painful buggy RPG that's worth playing.

Gotta say, 25 hours in, I've experienced very few bugs/technical issues.
The game has crashed twice, and I've had a few rare instances where the UI has frozen the char and got me killed.
This ain't no Gothic 3 (at release).

Yea for a PB game this is relatively bugfree.
It's mostly just clipping errors or the AI being dumb.

Feel like wildlife and enemies in general barely give enough xp for them to be worth killing. Killing skull level chimera's or w/e gives me like 40xp the rest I found gave like 2-10xp. Doing a silly quest 200-800xp. Would have been fun if you could level a bit without quests.
