Their Store is a real joke for anything but mobile apps, and now that Windows phones are history, well you got the picture.
They just need to make a deal with Valve and make an actual PC / XBOXwhateverX cross play for all games.
But this will never happen right ?

Windows Phones are history since the 11th july this year. Windows 10 Mobile will exist atleast till mid-end 2019. Windows 10 on ARM will be the future (if you like it not) and will play a huge role in the mobile sector (mobile sector, im not speaking especially of phones)
crossplay between (former) xbox/windows store exclusives and steamversions is no witchwork (killer instinct for example supports online play against windows store owners and xbox players). but yes if ms would release first party games on steam as well it would be great. so people could chose where to buy it, if you own an xbox too, fine get the xbox anywhere version on the store. dont own a xbox? buy it where 99% for your other games are -> steam. im pretty sure ms is considering this option

Xbox plans to ramp up in-house development efforts

"We haven't always invested at the same level. We've gone through ups and downs in the investment." |

Microsoft halts distribution of Spectre & Meltdown fixes on AMD systems after reports of unbootable PCs
