Well anyway i am not willing to support a bunch of arrogant russians who throw one great one liner after another in their forum, i just am not willing to do that no matter how good the game might be. |
Some food for those who don't believe that SF dudes (mods) are arrogant: http://www.star-force.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=456
I feel really sad for this guy.

Hello guru,
99.9% this problem is not related to StarForce. This is a pure coincidence.
Nevertheless, you still have the time to participate in our contest:

EDIT: by sage386

i feel really bad for people/companies supporting these guys. they should learn how to interact with human beings! they made a protection that is the 2nd hardest both to clone and to crack and they act like they're gods.
shame for them

the only thing that saves Ubi soft now are the consoles , thats why they fuck the PC users and loves the consoles ones - and this is simply cracpy tactics , the same tactics is doing KONAMI - PC users get no patch for buggy game , console users get all the help they need .
Thats a crazy world we live in .

I would hazard a wild guess that the majority who don't read the scare mongering or actually care what the protection is on the game will have bought it quite happily, and the fact it stayed uncracked whatever it used will have increased sales from people who got impatient to play it. (This is fact btw based on a lot of consumer surveys etc, not 'my friends didn't buy it because it used xxxx but my friends are teh uber 1337 who have no idea what SF etc are but sounds uncool because we can't download many games protected by it'.
Seriously 'average' people don't read this forum, or if they do they don't really care what a bunch of wannabe geeks / pirates ill-informed opinions are on protections they don't know much about so long as it doesn't affect them, and in the vast majority of cases it doesn't which is why for each legit complaint there are about 20 others that are full of it because they heard it might break something so it must be SF's fault not the mass of dubiously programmed anti-blacklisting, cloning, virtual drives, etc running on the machine.

It’s really easy to guess the problems this company must face.
Their marketing is so basic …..
Last month it was hardware incompatibilities and cd-rom damaged
This month a lot of their clients seem to be unhappy with the emulation capabilities of DT 4.00
So funny |
Whats funny is that people are not able to open their minds and realise in this war its more likley for SF to come out on top. Who do you think has the largest number of people working on a copy protection full time? And who do you think has the largest financial backing? Star-Force.
People don't seem to realise that Star-Force aren't out to make friends, they are making a copy protection that delays the cracking or makes it very hard, so that games companies can release their products and get the most from initial sales.
Their marketing may be basic, but obviously what they are doing works, otherwise this thread would not exist, nor would the wealth of developers be using their copy protection.
They have said that any real proof of hardware damage will be rewarded, yet nobody steps up to the plate.
They are playing a very clever game, and although I may not be fond of their intrusive drivers, I am very impressed with their business direction.
Making is so that D-Tools does not work will more than likely piss some people off, but then if you have the original you always have a way of playing it.
