Was going to post that but yeah, mainly for grinding cards more easily but the software has some additional features. Steam also has steam://open/console and things like add_license_request which I use regularly to add free DLC and such but I don't know if it can register packages which is what Areius mentions above. (Adding the free version of Hitman 2016 - Paris episode. - before it expires on January 5th.) EDIT: Though if Steam ever fucking differentiated from download and play the dev console wouldn't be needed for this. (Pressing the download button for a free DLC will launch the game it's for if it's installed which I find unwanted if I just want to add the content ha ha, well there's probably other methods.)

Yeah, that'll work with most packages too. But ASF is just much easier, especially when you have more than one Steam account. I've it running 24/7 (not that many games get cards anymore these days), but I use it also for 2FA.
