Been playing for 7 hours now, working fine. There are a few bug here and there, but it's pretty nice, a fuckton of stuff to do around the town and the plains. Fishing is more fun than I expected. Mining, less so.
So far my only problem is that it's very lonely compared to the normal missions, you need to actually seek others out to team up, no auto-matchmaking unless you land on the plains straight from the starmap. There should be some kind of auto pairing of players if they are relatively close on the plains.
The new faction looks expansive, so many stuff to buy with standing points, which is a problem, since you need those to unlock even more stuff to buy.
Had 2 encounters with eidolons so far. First one got away because morning came. With the second one I managed to make it vulnerable, but I have no idea how I would defeat it in time, so damn tanky! Had to retreat since I ran out of revives, was low on health and ammo. The fights with them are so intense... need to improve the operator I guess (need standing which requires defeating eidolons I think?!).
Otherwise, haven't done much, just a few bounties and I kept getting distracted by various things, running left and right on the plains. It's really addicting. This could be a whole game on its own, but at the same time, I think they shouldn't add that much more to the plains and instead do similar content for other planets. This still needs some work, but for what is probably the biggest update the game has ever had, it barely has bugs compared to other previous updates.

Seem to scale to your level more or less, plus they promised that even fresh starters can enjoy the plains, so it's definitely not end-game. But not really good for leveling either, enemies seem to be too few compared to the regular missions to get enough affinity. It's more of a side-activity if you want to take a little brake while grinding something.
It's a bit dissapointing so far. The new weapons are meh. Path of exile is ok I guess. Lots of bugs. Doing bounties alone all the time since group matchmaking is fucked. Some bounties failed for no reason.
Escort missions havent been fun since WoW introduced them.
Bounties are just the same missions over and over.
Forgot to post yesterday but I took down my first Teralyst solo and after it another one!
Spoiler:
I also made my first operator amp (besides the one you get for free) with the first 3 parts that get unlocked. It has a secondary fire now and it's like the Opticor, small charge - stupid high damage beam. I could actually kill enemies in sorties with it, pretty sick!
Edit:
The new amp is so much stronger against the Teralyst! Managed to actually beat one the "secret" way and got myself a brilliant shard!
I just started playing this and have been having fun but I wish I got in on that bundle price mistake last month as I could really use more Warframe and weapon slots. Being new and not knowing enough about the game it will probably be a while before I can get to any zone where I might find something that trades for Platinum to be able to afford more slots so it looks like I will be running that free Frost Prime I got from Twitch Prime for a good long while.
You can do endless missions (survival, defence, etc) and farm relics, and then look for void fissure missions that you can join with those relics. Every one of them give prime parts that (if good enough) can be sold for plat in trade chat. Can be done pretty much from the start.
You should have enough free plat to buy new warframe and weapon slots, at least to start off with. There's some really good warframes to get early on like rhino, plus frost is great on defence missions.
It has pretty high damage by default, just make sure to mod for radiation as the Teralyst has robotic health. I also have a riven for it though + the buff from Chroma makes sure I can do absurds amounts of damage. I took limbs out in 1 shot even, took 2 shots to bring down the Teralyst itself in the last phase. It's not entirely consistent though, not sure what causes the difference in damage between shots, besides critting / not critting I mean. You can see the damage fluctuating even with the operator when you take down the shields. I feel like there's specific smaller weakspots in the weakspots or something, not sure.
Lanka and Vectis Prime are used by people quite a lot I believe if you're more comfortable with that. Most people do these fights in groups however. Since I do it solo I just want to make the most out of each shot.

This could actually be very interesting.
Seeing how Warframe indeed keeps getting better and better since many years ago - and still has a very active playerbase.

You can also sell mods in addition to prime parts, plus things like the Syndicate and Invasion weapons. If you do end up using the market site, make sure to have it set to sellers in game to get a better idea on current pricing as some forget to do that and can end up listing the items way cheaper then they should be.
Prime parts that drop as uncommon or rare tend to sell for more obviously. If you have some relics that you can upgrade to drop rarer items, it is a good idea to do so.
Or if you happen to have full sets for certain items, you can sell the whole bunch for a little more than they would sell for individually.
Anniversary items are back, you have until the 28th to login in for them. The Excal skin is pretty sick, especially if you don't have other cosmetics for him.
Oh yeah, forgot, like last year, the weapons are rewarded from 3 low level Gift of the Lotus alerts.
