This shuld kill the whining about which console is the most powerful one. Crytek (who work with both consoles) clearly state that the ps3 is the most powerful one when both consoles are used to it's potential. So this time it's no speculation, but actual facts.
Now, go easy on eachother fanboys. And dont blame me for any fanboyism, I just spread the info. |
Did you read the statment "when both consoles are used to it's potential"
Its already been said that the xbox360 is easier get to its potential than the PS3...Fact.
Look how long it took for the PS2 to use its full power uhh like when RE4 and GT4 came out.
So more Devs on the xbox360 will know how to use the 360 better because Microsoft knows how to write software.
This is old news by the way

Ah, thanks for explaining, and yeah, I did think it was directed at my post.
But now I understand, and I agree with you.

To clarify alittle. When you compare power cybersurfer, you compare how powerful it is when used to it's potential. And not how easy some console is to develop for versus another......
This was just about power, not developing.
And this was not old news. Every speculation about which console is the strongest have been just speculations before. But this time it's a fact from a first grade developer who is working with both consoles.
The only problem is that ps3 fanboys will be an even bigger pain in the ass now. :/
The statement is mine btw, crytek didn't say that. Read the interview. |
I already knew that the ps3 was more power before the xbox360 was released..nothing new.
But if the developers now how to exploit the power easier on the xbox360 your going to see alot more devs making nicer looking games on the 360.
That said GFX don't make a great game...and the games I like to play are on the xbox360.

if gfx dont make a great game thats even more the reason to go with ps3 cuz of the cell processor.
its main point may not be graphics but creation of a realistic environment and most probably
a much better ai than x360.

The cell processor will make the matrix a reality. I can not wait to control millions and billions of tiny people with each their own life and thought patterns. The wife beaters and the fat kids, the coachs and the drug addicts, each will play role in the world. Of course for a exmple other then the matrix would be when they opened that locker in men in black 2 and all those little furry things were in there.

Kutaragi, known for the bold stroke and the grand vision, swung for the fences from the get-go. "We want to do something that has never been done before," he told Davari and a group of IBMers at their first meeting. "Let's work together to change the world." The movie The Matrix had just come out, and Kutaragi relished its premise of a world that is actually a giant computer simulation. "Think about creating a crude version of that world," he said, "where millions of people can play in a realistically rendered virtual Tokyo or New York City as if they are really living there." Creating that magical realm, Kutaragi told the team, would require a chip 1,000 times as powerful as the one in the PlayStation 2. The IBMers tried not to roll their eyes. They tended to like all that Matrix stuff, but when it came to 1,000-fold chip boosts, they thought Kutaragi was out of his mind

this is taken from an interview with game developers fro gamesblog, its about the programming difficulty (or not actually) on the ps3:
Quote: | It’s going to be much easier than the PS2 to get something up and running — there are hundreds of books out there for it, so you can do your background reading. All the documentation is there. This … won’t be a massive leap from what you’re seeing on PCs with high-end graphics cards. But obviously on PS3, you’ve got eight chips to spread the processing cost over — the main PowerPC chip and seven SPE chips. In a PC, there’s just one CPU, two in a dual processor machine. Having an eight CPU multi-processor system in your living room is pretty flash. |
