Definitely yes, if you're a fan of pure stealth (only, as Styx is a terrible fighter  ) it's one of the best modern options available in my opinion. Big levels, plenty of different ways to reach objectives, pretty challenging too on the highest difficulty. I have no idea about Shards of Darkness' co-op mode though, if I recall correctly there were some issues at first but the game's received several patches so it's likely in a better state by now (hopefully!). |
There was something about the sequel though, that was worse than in the previous game. It wasn't the gameplay part, which i think improved on pretty much every aspect.
Could have been the story?

Hehe yeah, could be since the narrative is quite loose and not the game's strongest point by any means (it ends quite abruptly as well), the humour can be hit and miss, although it is similar to the first game. The only negative for me is/was that Master of Shadows felt a tad more challenging overall with more enemy types and tighter AI, though nothing too serious thankfully. |

You can sneak from behind and perform a quiet kill (or a noisy violent one) and/or use various tricks like throwing blades as well as environmental murdering techniques. There is no melee combat since the Goblin is relatively weak, though in the two first levels of difficulty you have the chance to parry/kill/evade once you get caught (not present if you select harder settings - in that case getting spotted means instant death).

Not a bad price but I rather play Parkitekt (if you want something new) or OpenRCT2. Planet Coaster runs like shit and there's not a lot to do. It looks great but that's pretty much how I feel about the game.

Meh, i guess i wait till the next sale then - as i probably wouldn't play it now anyways.
And Parkitect seems good yes. But i don't really like its art style. Even the old RCT3 looks better IMHO.

Yeah, I'm not sold on its art style either. A bit too cartoony to my taste, but if you're looking for a more classic RCT game then its not bad.
