Wonder if this will have similar a outcry to what Nier Replicant/Gestalt and Phantom Pain had, I don't really mind but I know it'll generate some controversy but then again so to the publisher with that pose and all as a bonus for effect.
Different views too I guess but this is going to be fun to read the reactions on.
EDIT: Going through that thread again I gues JRPG's aren't the only games with curious characters though, Hans from Time Splitters for one.

(Vagrant story has some curious characters too but I heard the game itself isn't bad though being on PSX it might have clunky controls and that z-clipping issue the Playstation had due to it's hardware.)
EDIT: I guess if they stuck a fuzzy tail on that above girl it could pass as a new Priscilla.

They have anime as fuck characters and weapons, but they don't fight like it at all. I was expecting over the top moves, flashy attacks, yet it looked like they just ripped the sword and halberd moveset from the Souls games. The scorpion tail thing is fine, so are most of the magic, the anime style fading side step is also fitting, but the dodge roll? Really? Even Bloodborne didn't do that, and that was only a tier above Dark Souls in terms of away from reality.
I don't really mind the blander environments, I'm more of a mechanics person, but this doesn't look satisfying to play at all, I'm not seeing the theme being fully realized, looks like a poor attempt at a Souls clone, like Lord of the Fallen and the Surge, and not like Ni-oh.
ok finally got t watch it ... quite a big improvement in he animation and gameplay department compared to earlier videos.... notices some framedrops , but its UE4 so that can be bruteforced on PC
