Nvidia here.
Edit: it's a geforce 3 ti200 btw, old stuff but still works pretty good.

I'm currently using a ATI Radeon 9880Pro.
It's only the 128mb version, but it's good enough for me.

I have the 9800XT... It still brings tears to my eyes when I remember how much it cost me.
Hardware: Ryzen 3700x, B450 MSI Gaming Pro carbon AC, GTX1080, 32 GB 3200 Mhz cas 14, 256 EVO SSD, 1 TB EVO SSD and 4 TB HDD.
Console: xbox, wii and xbox 360

ATI Radeon 8500LE with voltmod and Zalman's heatpipe.
It was the one of the cheapest cards like one or two years ago and still running with it.
Well, I maybe should update until next summer.

Ya i know what you mean i got an 9700 with an 1800. All that i'm upgrading is my Mem & CPU

I think the lead has more to do with the price, the ATi cards seem to be relatively cheaper in comparison to NVidia, and the FX range hardly did wonders for the brand name, but who knows what will happen in future.
