Environments looks really bland in comparison to anything from Rockstar. I wish they could up their game there a bit Story and quests etc also has a loooong way to go before they reach their level. I did like Primal though, it could look quite nice + had a really interesting and unique setting. Did not play FC4, for some reason..
Yeah not by any means suggesting I don't think RDR2 will be fantastic - but having six months clear to play this without Rockstar's latest as competition will do me no harm at all!
vurt - well worth giving FC4 a spin if you haven't tried it - dirt cheap now as well
Ubisoft announced today that Inside Eden’s Gate, a Far Cry 5 short film based on the world of the upcoming game, will start streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video via Prime Video Direct starting March 5. The short film, made in collaboration with Asylum, features some major actors, including Kyle Gallner and Greg Bryk, the actor that portrays The Father in the Far Cry 5 game. The film takes places prior to the events of Far Cry 5, sending some curious vloggers directly into the path of Joseph Seed and his religious cult.
The Far Cry 5 roadmap once again highlights the season pass, which will include three new chapters of alternate universe Far Cry content. These expansions include Hours of Darkness (a Vietcong themed add-on), Lost on Mars, and Dead Living Zombies. The Far Cry 5 season pass also includes Far Cry 3 Classic Edition, which will be the first time that game has been made available on current generation consoles.

In addition to the paid season pass, Far Cry 5 and Far Cry Arcade will be the host of a number of free activities. Each Tuesday in April will have Far Cry 5 live events, which will presumably be live events that will occur within the Far Cry 5 open world of Hope County. Every Friday in April will be Friday Arcade Nights. At this point, it’s not entirely clear what these free activities and live events will bring to the table, but we expect Ubisoft to offer additional details soon. If not, it’s only three more weeks before the game officially launches and we find out then.
Finally, Far Cry Arcade will receive additional object updates and Ubisoft dev maps made in the map editor. Ubisoft is pulling from its entire library of games for Far Cry Arcade map editor assets, and the Far Cry 5 roadmap seems to infer additional support that will come post-launch, with new objects consistently added to build a robust catalog of assets for use in creation of your own maps and missions.
Far Cry Arcade is Far Cry 5's map editor mode, and it's bigger, more versatile, and more packed with content than it's been at any point in the series' past. The first Far Cry map editor to enable players to create their own solo, co-op, and PvP levels, Far Cry Arcade is a chance for players to crack open the game and use its assets to build their own customized adventures and experiences. Far Cry Arcade's goal is to make these custom maps as accessible as the campaign, and one way to accomplish that is to integrate them directly into Hope County – and your character's progression.
Really promising indeed, I think Ubi is slowly learning not to copy paste everything. I was very sceptical about Origins but at the end I loved it.. and I enjoyed playing every second of it. Im liking this new wave of ressurected Ubi titles, lets see how long it lasts..
Oh no dont say that. I can do boring and repettive, I still like Destiny 2 lol.
To be fair Ubisoft = Repetition, no?
Got Gold version with season pass for DLC and Far Cry 3 Remastered
For all its nods to contemporary politics and societal strife, Far Cry 5 is just another fun permutation of the usual Far Cry formula with nothing very interesting to say.
Far Cry 5 is a new, massive, and even prettier and more polished version of the established formula with the big bonus of a mode which adds endless possibility. It’s extremely fun, wild, and oftentimes weird.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
