@tet666 @tonizito
Well, lets hope it will be here in a few weeks.
Though they can somewhat take their time, as i still want to finish AC:O first, and maybe after that start BOTW.

Got: 6600k, 16gb DDR4 at 3000 GTX970
I didn't expect to run this great but it ran horrible on Steam, lots of stutters, pop ups to the extreme, lighting being seriously fucked up, frame drops like crazy and constant glitching of textures. Had everything on low and all the fancy bits turned off. 3DM build ran way better so I was ready to blame the D.
Checked google and people with worse cpu and ram were having better vastly better experiences with the 970. In the end a fresh install was only what worked for me, something must have gone wrong with the pre-load on Steam. Only ever experienced that with one other game on Steam.
Now it runs 60fps for 90% of the time with most stuff on average, so not too shabby. |
I just finished the base attack where you try your first summon. After the sequence finished and all was laid to waste... the game froze for about 30 seconds, and then stuck at 22fps. I couldn't save the game because you have to leave the base first, and there was another cutscene to suffer as well.. This is on the legit Steam version.
The performace is fucked still, there are many many hitches, random freezing and just horrific slowdowns. This is a terrible port.

I thought this was a horrible port but I can't say the same after my re-install 10 hours after and having explored nearly entire map (mostly did exploring). I can't say I had any issues. Well Lestelum or what the hell that city is called gives me 8fps drops... but that seems normal on my hardware.
I won't say it's a great port either I'd expect a little bit more from my HW even if it is only a 970.
Haven't gotten a summon yet, I'm sure it will be fucked since everyone reports it as such.

Cool comparison. I like that they tackle the extreme highend and the more reasonable range with the RX580 and the 1070.

Looks like the game is fully playable now so let's wait for CPY to work their magic.

Well unlike Nier FFXV still has an active (and paid) development team after release.

http://www.guru3d.com/news_story/unprotected_version_of_final_fantasy_xv_loads_faster.html
Right from the start, the pirated version loads faster than the Steam version.
The Steam version needed 30 seconds in order to launch (for the first time) whereas the pirated version was ready in just 3 seconds reports dsogaming.
The second launch (by exiting and then re-launching the game immediately) needed 8 seconds for the Steam version, whereas the pirated version was – once again – ready in 3 seconds.
The in-game maps also loads faster in the pirated version (58 seconds versus 1 minute and 40 seconds).

As someone who played both versions... I can't say I notice much of a difference other than the initial load of the game.
Stutters I rarely have, 3DM version I got them quite regularly but I bet that was mostly since I was still trying to figure out the sweet spot of my settings back then.
Still, I'd be happy if they remove the D someday, before they go out of business and we have to rely on companies like Square to fix our games again.

you can safely ignore 100% of the tech related stuff that comes out of that cretin's keyboard. The guys on steam forums point to the steam api as the cullprit for this and the specialk mod takes care of this. Also, they say the non-steam stores which also use denuvo dont have the steam issues.
This retard from dso just had his ass handed to him by durante and his pc gamer article, so he postponed his excuse of an article, copied some testing methodolgy from durante,(who lnows what idiocy he was doing by himself before that) then put out an article later which he carefully named steam vs pirated. If durante hadnt put out his article he would have called it "definite proof that denuvo incinerates computers". He has been going on about denuvo more than jackq over here, he's posting every crack news available and he does "tech analysis" at kindergarten level. He's been told multiole times he has absolutely no idea about anything he's trying to talk about, but he fancies himself knowledgeable
