Finished it, great stuff..enjoyed it till the end..it never gets old for me. Loving the new IDTech ! 8.5 / 10. Epic ending credits.. Bring on the new Quake !
Had a break from this but I went back to it today and finished it off
+1 on those credits! Best Ive seen in a game! Supersick and superslick presentation! I now understand the spoiler warning to play the game through before watching the credits lol. The story and lore were dumb and cheesy but respect for making the effort and I had hella fun with this game, no pun intended! I kinda wish the music was better or I liked the music, it was ok but I think it could have been better. I kinda wish the ending was better too, it was left quite open, maybe some DLC will end it properly!
The game itself was pretty epic! And Im going with a 9/10! I guess late review embargos dont always mean the game is crap!
Im really tempted to go hunting the secret areas I missed now!
I am taking my time with it, doing a level by level, all secrets. I love the tiny dolls. One of the few games I can bring myself to look for secrets. I think part of it is the great level design. Very refreshing after years and years of bland shooters. The real question is, how does one go back to the likes of Call of Dooty after a shooter like this?
Bethesda is also bringing its most recent, and really rather excellent, Doom to the world's most cumbersome hat, which should be quite the visceral thrill.
Doom in VR will be nuts. Surely it will be PC only but maybe PSVR who knows?
I thought this game was gonna be shit (bethseda) but it was a major suprise . Superior visuals and great 60 fps. I'm on my 3rd run. Too bad the DLC+planned are multiplayer :/
Hell Followed, the second DLC multiplayer content pack for DOOM, is out now. Adding even more to the game’s fast-paced multiplayer, Hell Followed includes three new maps, the new Reaper weapon, new Hack Modules and Taunts, and Threat Pulse, a new equipment item that scans for nearby enemies. We’re also adding the fan-favorite Cacodemon as a new player-controlled demon for multiplayer. Transform into the Cacodemon to take down enemies with blasts of bile and lethal tongue lashes.
Enough with the multiplayer and give some single player DLC
I kinda hope they will do some new quake or ... new rage
But I will take Doom2 too. It is a great game

A press release has just appeared through a fiery portal and says that, starting today, a patch adds 4K support to the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro version. It's unclear if the upgrade is native 4K or some sort of upscaling solution.
After talking about the future of Bethesda on Nintendo Switch, as well as what could be happening next for Prey, Bethesda’s senior vice president of marketing Pete Hines also hinted that Doom could be getting some exposure at the company’s upcoming E3 event – though he stopped just short of confirming anything officially.
When the interviewer made light of the fact that Bethesda doesn’t really have much planned for the second half of the year (save for the Nintendo Switch release of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus), Hines responded, “I couldn’t give you any guesses as to what we’re going to announce and when those games will be out. But I will say, we have a lot of new stuff to talk about at E3. Whether or not folks realize it, this is the hell on Earth time for us with E3. We are in the midst of so much planning and work for all of that content but I’m really excited.
I think we have a lot of stuff that folks are going to like. To my earlier comment, it’s going to be a big mix of stuff that’s all over the place. It’s not going to be like all [one] kind of game or genre. It’s going to be a lot of stuff in a lot of different areas and hopefully, there’s something in there for everybody.”
Now, note a particular phrase he used in his response – “hell on earth.” For those that may not recall, the original name for the classic shooter Doom 2 is Hell on Earth. This could just be circumstantial, but considering the remake of Doom was such a success for the company, it wouldn’t surprise us if another go-around was in the cards.
