State of Mind is a futuristic thriller game delving into transhumanism. The game explores themes of separation, disjuncture and reunification, in a world that is torn between a dystopian material reality and a utopian virtual future.
Employing multiple playable characters and two separate game worlds, State of Mind explores the existential drama that develops in a society on the brink of post-material existence.
You are Richard Nolan, a father and journalist from Berlin who discovers that he and his wife and son have been subjects to mind uploads. Richard’s upload, however, has gone wrong. As a result, he is still living in real-life reality, but an incomplete second version of his self also exists in a secret Virtual Reality project.
Upon realizing that he is literally a torn man, Richard sets out on a dramatic and dangerous search for salvation. He aims to reunite with his family, as well as with his own split self. On his way, he soon realizes that this journey isn’t only about him, but about the future of mankind.

I love this kind of stuff. I just hope the gameplay isn't trash.
Likewise, the premises are great, but I'd be much happier with a more traditional/classic point-and-click feel (rather than the usual "press to watch the narrative" one). Ganteföhr is the supervisor here, so maybe there's hope..unless they plan to please a different target audience
I wish it was action-adventure..not just adventure..it looks kinda boring but I've never liked "pure" adventure games. I just hope the story will be good otherwise I see no reason playing this kind of games at all..

wel steamstore shows Action, Adventure , Inde as genres ... but probably the action part is very very light
Didn't like the graphics the whole polygon takes me ages back and for nowadays this is a bad choice...I think we have moved to another level and this is, for me, unacceptable. Granted it may be more viable (cost efficient) to incorporate such graphics but for an adventure game it just doesn't cut it.
Add to that the rigid movement where it takes ages to turn, the unskipable cut-scenes, the all around slow pace of the game/story made me skip it. Granted I was intrigued by the story but that alone is not enough for me to play it even once.
Budget graphics, and even lower budget voice acting and script (feels written in another language).
Movement is super stiff (why?) and the game seems to be a cutscene simulator anyway.
Shit delete.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
