You are entirely wrong TWoM is as far from a walking sim as it get's. TWoM is true survival there is nothing even close to it in this regard.

You could just try the ISOdemo for yourself and see for yourself as whatever I say will be insufficient.

Well, I already said that I liked the game so. But besides the survival part (which could be somewhat easy once you figure it out) I really liked the part where you control average people who were just caught up in a horrible war and are trying to survive.
I liked it so much that after finishing the ISOdemo I bought it on steam and have clocked around 8 more hours.

I only watched some gameplay of it. Not really my cup of tea, therefore i haven't even tried the isodemo.

It received very good reviews on most sites though.

If you haven't played Sheltered (not to be confused with Shelter) - it's worth a try. Definitely not as good as TWoM and with some irritating parts (meeting other people while scavenging feels grindy as fuck) but it's a good for a few hours.

Both TWoM and aforementioned Sheltered are kind of easy once you figure all the shit out (Sheltered more so) and have a little luck.

While I liked This War of Mine, there is all kinds of trash on Steam that has Very Positive/Overwhelming positive reviews. Those ratings are absolutely meaningless - the average gamer has a bar that's abysmally low.

Oh I know it has positive ratings but so what? The gameplay is atrocious, it has been full of bugs and the whole emotional aspect failed so hard that I feel more in a random JRPG.

What do you find so good about it?

I rarely give a shit about indie games or games that feel cheap and stuff but TWoM was really fucking good, played it several times and really enjoyed it. Totally worth it. If you want challenge, start in winter on your first game lol

But wat is this Frostpunk thingy? 3D TWOM?

The game doesnt have a price yet?

I paid ~20€ for it. But it will be probably around 30€ on Steam looking at key resellers.

It's colony building sim set in new Ice Age era with focus on moral dillemas in spirit of This War of Mine.

The comparison with Syria is the problem. Maybe some of the people here don't swallow up the western rhetoric on this matter. Your comparisons is made as a general truth, which isn't really the case.
