Lol. It's a game feature. Game resets its speed everyday at 5 am.

I'm not talking about the game speed switching, I'm talking about an actual stutter. It got more noticeable as I neared the end of the main story. I did see the game warning that it would reset every morning.

Sorry.

The game is a memory hog, it addresses 5 GB when you start it. Some people write that in later phase of game they have some major performance hits.

Very meh this game. It doesn't have that "personal involvement" factor, like TWOM had. To me, the people are just numbers. Numbers I can put to work. I don't care if they live or die. And yes, them dying isn't the worse thing, actually. Since less people = less to worry about, lol. The more people you have, the more things can go wrong.

Bit of a shame.

It actually did, the way they talked about it and from the trailers etc. it seemed like you were supposed care about your people and feel immersed in their fate. And without it the game just feels like numbers you try not to lose.

it wasnt really about the "personal involvment" but more about the whole community imo and feel imersed not in their individual fates but in fate of humannity thats left -> which it did for me evend though i became a bit cold later (as was imo intended from the interviews)

but your mileage may wary for sure

I started playing after dinner and faced the frostylands for four hours (reaching the 30th day, not without a couple of failed runs where I was kicked away for being completely inept). As expected, one can't simply think about relaxing here xD

The game offers a limited range of experimentations and ways to deal with priorities, but it works well in my opinion. As already mentioned, once one understands the basic steps it's possible with a bit of foreshadowing to dodge the many moments of extreme crisis and the insane freezing, it's all about keeping an eye on the most important values before the damage is done.
The atmosphere is almost Metro-like, very effective with pleasant visuals, a (very Very Happy) melancholic mood and a lot of despair even when the hope gauge goes up. There is also rarely a 100% positive outcome with decisions: sacrifices are necessary, there will be a lot of angry folks, many unavoidable deaths and even revolts, it's a damned if you do and damned if you don't simulator

I suspect that once I'll be done with the main scenario I won't be touching the game again, but it's definitely a unique and addictive experience that deserves to be tried in isoform. Just..be careful if you're easily stressed out!

I've played through the first 2 scenarios so far. I agree that I didn't particularly care about my people (especially when there's like over 600 of them), but I did care about some of stories through scout exploration. I was curious and invested about the story of the world outside of my own little hole.

I played the two scenarios in the default (normal) difficulty and they were challenging overall, more than the typical games of that genre I've played, but not difficult enough to make me start over. I finished both scenarios on their first try, but the first one did stress me out at the end, and the second was a very very close call at the end (like a few in-game hours away from potential disaster). I would expect the hard difficulty to kick my ass hardcore.

I enjoyed how the second scenario changed things up a little so I couldn't just repeat the same strategy I used in the main story scenario. I was worried it would quickly get repetitive as I followed my previous steps, but I had to adopt a different path.

Overall, fun game. I'd recommend the iso demo for anyone curious, the game also seems to have a fair price for people who want it.

Maybe its the autosave. Saving takes a noticeable amount of time and takes longer later in the game.

My game was not a memory hog though. It started at 2GB and fell slowly to 1.6GB or something and then I stopped looking.

Is it really as short as the reviews suggest? (2-8 hrs) And little point for another play through? Sad

I enjoyed TWOM, for what it was; pretty shallow min-maxing game (shallow, as once you know on what to focus, it becomes very easy), but the presentation making up for it. It won't last many hundreds of hours, but fun while it lasts.
Just installed this, looking forward to play Very Happy need to stock up my own supply of weed first, and then I'll dive into it!

So any way to disable that shit time limit?
If not i doubt i will even try the isodemo.

I thought this would be a nice futuristic city builder.

I doubt it would work as an "infinite" game. It's not a city builder either.
The whole game is made to get gradually worse until you can hardly sustain a viable place, and "pull through" by the skin of your teeth.

I'd like to see how that's gonna work out Confused

Yeah, it's designed to 'not be' a long game, although where it fails, is in the replay-ability factor, which is a shame, but I also cant see 'sandbox' working that well Wink

It is what it is, so stop fuckin moaning.

I didn't realize it could choose to only offer one. When I played the main scenario I was given a choice between both, but it would limit me to one afterward. The second scenario didn't offer anything other than the default adaptation, from what I remember. The third scenario started right away with only faith and adaptation available.

My pc completely frooze (pun intended) after closing the game. Rebooting didn't help, it ran super slow.
Not sure if related, but it seemed to solve itself after I closed all internet connections... antivirus didn't find anything though (using CODEX release). I played for 5-6 hours, maybe the strain on the memory was too much Laughing
