So it's lame to be killed in 3-4 shots, huh? You think it's not real, huh? Maybe in real life it takes 100 bulets to kill you, no? Or maybe you're kind of a ubermensch, and you're impenetrable to bulets.
Most of the times, enemies wear body armour, so I don't see any point in shooting them in the chest. And I think you can empty an entire clip in their asses, you can't kill a human instantly by shooting him in the ass, nor legs (ELIZ, you should know that, you say you're a doctor).
You say that enemies spotted you even if it was pitch black. Well, you have to define pitch black. In the outside levels, there is no such thing as pitch black, there is always difuse light, no matter what that visibility metter says. The muzle flash and the noise of the shot is what is giving you away , and if you noticed, they will fire in that direction. If you move while they stop shooting, so that their muzle flashes don't light you up, and it's dark indeed, you will see that in most cases they will continue to fire in the direction of your last known position.
Another example of how "not human" the AI is : in a fight, if they are covered, and you have your weapon pointed at them, they will stay covered. Lower your weapon or just point it at another target and see what happens. They come out and start shooting. Then bring your weapon up again. They will imediately get back to cover.
So, first the AI was poor and fake, not human, then AI was a cheater...what next? No matter what arguments I will give, you still are going to keep your opinion.
The fact is that until SCCT, the smartest enemies you could encounter in a game were those in Thief 3, now I think those in SCCT equals them and maybe are even smartest.
This is not a game about shooting, there are tons of shooter games. This is about stealth, patience, planning your moves, watching the enemies and learning their routes, and above all, keeping that finger off the trigger as much as possible. Bringing down the doors and shooting everybody just doesn't work for one man alone, as it does not work in real life.

Well I can't talk for other persons but what I meant is that in certain situations the AI cheated and had supernatural reflexes, senses and health and that makes it non-human like and artificial.

But when enemies are too smart it's not a good AI. A good AI acts human-like and is not perfect. A good AI makes mistakes and misses shots. Personally I'm not generally talking about the AI in the whole game (it was mostly believable with a few tiny exceptions here and there) I'm talking especially about the part I described in my first post. I don't know when you played this level but my memory is still very fresh since I played it two days ago. A very questionable scene I experienced was when a new enemy opened the door (where Shetland just walked out), came in the room and did immediately exactly know where I was and killed me with one or two shots in the blink of an eye. It feels very artificial and cheap when they know exactly where you are even though you DID NOT shoot or move and you're in the darkness. How did he know I was there and besides that no human aims that fast and hits precisely at this distance in an almost completely dark room. That's unrealistic. Also it wasn't enough that Shetland's army acted like aim bots they could take too many shots even if you consider armor. They could even take a clean headshot and still live. That was simply stupid.

Situations like that you described are possible, but it's not the general feel of the game. I didn't have any enemies surviving a clean head shot (not a helmet shot, but a clean face shot), but maybe it's possible.
You ned to take into acount one more thing : you are always outguned. Enemies pack AK47s, most of the time, that fires 7.62 mm ammo, while Sam, on the other hand, fires 5.56 ammo, which, and this is very important, is fired from a silenced weapon. Muzle velocity in silenced weapons is significantly reduced, there for the damage they inflict is reduced. In terms of fire power, Sam is seriously in disadvantage. In terms of body armour, he is also inferior, I don't see him wearing a 20 kilo body kit, not when he has to jump rooftops, climb fences, stand upside down, etc. Maybe he has a light armour, but AK47 is a serious weapon of war.
My view is that enemies should be smart, he is not dealing with amateurs, they are suposed to be well trained and battle hardened. After all, you don't want to fight against grannies and teenagers, do you?
Anyway, my overall opinion is that they made much progress with this game ( and I remind you we are talking about a game that is almost 1 year old), in terms of graphics, non linear gameplay, AI, multiple choices and soundtrack.
All this points, imho, to an even more interesting experience in Double Agent. The story, I hope, it will be smth more different than what it has been done 'till now. It's the only thing that was not so appealing to me in SCCT. And , btw,I was glad to hear Ironside's voice in the 2 movies, I hope he sticks around for another game.

I said it was raining and there was thunder( lighthouse mission ). I was 100 metres away and SILENCED pistol doesn't have muzzle flash in SC CT. At least i cannot see it, what ever i do ( i play with all settings maxxed ). Even if shoot some soldier in the ass from BEHIND THEM they just turn around and they kill me with FIRST 3-4 shots which all usually hit. I mean...HOW CAN YOU SHOOT SOMEONE IN PITCH BLACK, WHEN YOU CANNOT HEAR OR SEE ANYTHING THAT COULD GIVE YOU AWAY AND 100 METRES???
Damn, it would be more logical to fuck up someone so he would look like Picasso or smth...

If you could hit someone from 100 metres away with the silenced pistol I would be suprised. Do you even know that that measure of distance means?

That's a clever argument, I'll give you that.
Recognizing facts don't make me a fanboy ELIZ. For all I said I came with arguments. Why don't you do the same? Weedo did, I see brutality has a point there too. There are some situations where you find yourself frustrated by some things. Doesn't change the overall gaming experience.
Now, one question for you ELIZ, just out of curiosity...will you be playing Double Agent when it comes out? You said that the first one was the best, and that Pandora was better than CT, so that makes CT the worse, pandora second and the first Splinter Cell - the best. Looks to me that , at least for you, the serie is going from bad to worse...so why continuing playing? I like racing games, but I stoped playing NFS after Underground 2 'cause I didn't like it anymore. I can't see why someone would play a game (and finish it), when he feels frustrated during game.
Btw, what kind of shock can you die from when the bullet touches the bone?
P.S. Yes, I am a fanboy, of all the Splinter Cell games. It's not mandatory that everyone agrees on a specific subject, I made some points and came with some arguments that I believe are true. Labeling someone is not really an inteligent argument.

Yeah, those scenes where they force you to fight multiple people were terrible, the gameplay mechanics of SC make it extremely difficult to fight more then one person who has spotted you. Which is fine throughout most of the game but those sections...
They should have given you the option to use force, but if your were sneaky enough you could use stealth.
