Sin317-"im 31 years old and still surprised at how much shit comes out of my ass actually ..."
SteamDRM-"Call of Duty is the symbol of the true perfection in every aspect. Call of Duty games are like Mozart's/Beethoven's symphonies"
deadpoetic-"are you new to the cyberspace?"
Gunplay will consist of being a hybrid between Max Payne 3 and GTA V and will have more user involvement.
Ragdoll Model won’t be ‘stumbly bumbly’ like the first game but will be a reworked version of the model seen in GTA V
There will be light destruction in the game similar to R6S for weak materials. Players will able to puncture light cover, chip pillars etc
Depending on where the horse has been shot, there will be a decrease in the performance of the horse. For example, if a player targets one of the horse’s front legs it will limp and Arthur will start to curse and become frustrated (Currently being tested to find a good balance)
Fishing is close to being cut content
Hand to hand combat is the best in any Rockstar title
Players will be able to swim
AI will react to sound better in stealth situations. For instance, Arthur is sneaking into cover and on his way knocks down a bottle. The AI will react to that and investigate.
In chases where transport involves wheels, players will be able to shoot at the wheels to break them down into different shapes to affect their handling. For example, a shotgun can blow half a carriage wheel off leaving the carriage unstable yet controllable to not hinder the gameplay experience.
Law enforcement will be much more human and not there to serve purpose as something to be wary of to the play er
Law enforcement can be seen detaining AI if they’ve seen someone cheating in blackjack and such. The AI can also run away or if things escalate, can result in a shootout
Certain shopkeepers will charge you different prices depending on your appearance. If you look clean and wealthy shopkeepers will increase the prices of the items and vice versa if you look dirty
Players will be able to shoot while on the canoe
If you take on a heist with of the one the members from your camp and during the heist he takes a lot of hits, they will be out of action from a few days to a month of in game time. The healing process can be sped up by regularly helping to feed the camp and creating a sense of community around the campfire
Npcs around towns can be heard talking about different that are or have been going on in the town. For example, if you kill one of the shopkeepers, come back 2-3 hours later in game time and you’ll hear the npcs comment on that.
Depending on what day of the week it is, towns will be populated or empty. For example, on a Friday evening expect Bars to be lively and towns to be ‘warm and alive’ with more law enforcement out patrolling towns
Yes, the leaked map is real
* Customisation
Due to the time period, there won’t be much weapon customisation such as silencers etc. However, engravings and weapon camo will take place and will alter the weapons performance. For example, players will be able to equip a golden camo their rifle for purely visual purposes and then add on an engraving to alter the performance. For instance, if I add a floral engraving that might increase my range. However, for the snipers and bolt action rifles, we’ll be able to add different scopes, change the magnifier and design of bolt. This works in a similar way to the weapon variants we’ve seen in battlefield 1 but with visual customization only. Clothing will be deeply customizable
Different horse shoes will change the horses traction. Certain shoes will give you a traction bonus in the rain and other will give you a bonus while traversing through mud, when slowing down etc.
Horse capacity can be upgraded to hold more items
Horse, Carriage, Cart, Canoe armour will be a thing
Online only: players will be able to add Gatling guns to carriages and carts
Single player and online: Weekly hunting competition to see who’s captures the heaviest deer in town/online players etc
. . .you think they are going to downgrade the game. . .in five months? What exactly are you arguing here?
I hope they don't, but generally the final products for open worlders do NOT compare well with trailers...think of Watchdogs, Witcher etc
I'm sure it'll still be good though, I'm not a graphics whore particularly when it comes to Rockstar releases.
..and Far Cry, Oblivion too..
However I'm not sure there has been downgrades for the Rockstar games in the past? I'd play the shit out of it even if it looked like previous RDR but higher res.. so much in the beauty of their games is not down to advanced and demanding shaders etc, it has to do with brilliant artists who knows what they're doing.
As for the screenshots they look fantastic. Taking great screenshots is a lot like photographing, you can make a game that doesnt look particularly good great looking if you know what you are doing; you know the game's limitations and when it looks its best. Much of that has to do with using lightning to the scenes advantage.
Dammit I was hoping for some E3 gameplay demo but I seem to remember reading somewhere that Rockstar don’t do E3 so I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised.
Free stuff* that is directly delivered to your character and makes the game easier is shit anyways. It's nothing that will make the game more fun, quite the opposite.
*free in the way that it doesnt require quests or effort apart from paying real money
Yeah, I really hate that shit. It's like, here: pay more to skip our game!
But there were also some side story/mission stuff.
yeah, but it seems like it's just copy/paste stuff that already exists. I dont' care if i get e.g another bank heist which isn't in the main game, just some slight variation probably.
A gang of outlaws, renegades and misfits, bonded together under the charismatic and idealistic Dutch van der Linde. They have chosen to live outside the law and now fear it may be catching up with them.
Outlaws For Life
Quote:
The leader of a sizeable gang of outlaws and misfits. Idealistic, anarchic, charismatic, well-read, well-lived, but possibly starting to unravel under the pressures of the encroaching modern world.
Quote:
Dutch's most dependable and capable enforcer since he was a boy, the outlaw life is all Arthur has ever known. Sharp, cool-headed, and ruthless, but with his own sense of honor. A man who gets the job done.
Quote:
Once an orphaned street kid taken under Dutch's wing at the age of twelve, John has always had to live by his wits. Shrewd, fearless and strong-willed, he and Arthur are Dutch’s proudest protégés.
Quote:
An ex-soldier discharged from the army, possibly dishonorably. Hot headed, he tends to act first and think later but is tough, dedicated and always ready to fight.
Quote:
A career criminal and hitman. Wild and unpredictable but he lives for the action.
Quote:
A relatively recent recruit to the gang, Charles is quiet and reserved but extremely competent in everything he does and virtually unbeatable in a fight. A decent, honest man who also happens to be deadly.
Quote:
A cocky young Irish thief and stick-up man who comes from a long line of criminals and political dissidents. He always wants a piece of the action and believes in himself…perhaps a little too much.
Quote:
A master con artist, gentleman and thief, Hosea has been Dutch's closest friend and right-hand man for over twenty years. Intelligent and quick-witted, he can talk his way into, or out of, just about anything.
Quote:
Young Lenny has been on the run since he was 15 years old after killing the men who murdered his father. Smart, educated, competent and ambitious, he is always ready to do his part.
Quote:
A notorious bounty hunter and Mexican revolutionary. Javier immediately had a strong connection to Dutch’s ideals. Very committed, passionate and loyal.
Quote:
A widow who is hellbent on taking revenge upon those who killed her husband. Relentless and afraid of nothing and no one. The wrong woman to cross, but very loyal to those she loves.
Quote:
A consummate scam artist and trigger woman who can drink pretty much anybody under the table. Bold and full of fun, she loves the outlaw life and wouldn’t have it any other way.
Quote:
A flamboyant conjurer, conman and trickster, Trelawny is a very hard man to pin down but he’s always able to bring good leads.
Quote:
An orphan who grew up scraping out a living in dive bars and brothels in the West, Abigail is a strong, straight-talking woman who has seen a lot of life and knows what it takes to survive against the odds.
Quote:
A hanger-on and good-time guy, Uncle is always around when the whiskey is open and never around when there’s any work to be done. If he wasn’t so entertaining, Dutch would have cut him loose years ago.
Quote:
A kind, good-natured young woman, which makes her the perfect criminal. By the time people realize they’ve been duped, Mary-Beth is already on her way home with the money.
Quote:
The camp’s butcher and cook, Pearson served a short stint in the navy that he likes to talk about at length. A loud, jolly degenerate who is somewhat in denial about the turn his life has taken.
Quote:
A Dublin girl and the object of Dutch’s affection, for now at least, Molly is too high-strung for a life on the run and it’s all starting to take a toll on her.
Quote:
An ex clergyman now lost to debauchery, Swanson has fallen a long way from the standards he once set himself. If he hadn’t saved Dutch’s life in the past, it’s unlikely the gang would have kept him around for this long.
Quote:
An outlaw from the age of 12, Tilly ran with another gang before joining up with Dutch. Savvy, resilient and dependable, she can more than handle herself and isn’t afraid to speak her mind.
Quote:
Originally hailing from Austria, Herr Strauss is responsible for keeping the gang’s books and running their money lending operation. A serious, somewhat shifty and unemotional man, he has all the qualities a loan shark needs.
Quote:
The undisputed boss and arbiter of justice in the camp, everything would have fallen apart years ago without Susan in charge. Tenacious and iron-willed, she stands for no nonsense.
Quote:
Young Jack has grown up with the gang, although everyone has done their best to shield him from the more nefarious elements, especially his mother Abigail. He loves everything about nature and the outdoor life, and is carefully watched over by his many aunts and uncles.
I hope they got better writers. It's hard trying to connect with Rockstar's characters. Even with Marston in RDR, due to how the writing / how scenes played out worked.
Marston was actually the best Rockstar offered so far, definitely miles better than any of the characters of 4 and 5, especially niko and his fucking cousin.
