If the script isn't shit, I'd have no doubts that he can nail it. He's an insanely good actor and funnily enough, he even got the looks for a good joker even without make-up.

The hair reminds me too much of Heath Ledger's take on the Joker but I guess we will see if it still looks the same if they show any pictures of him in the full Joker attire.

There are maany question marks about the concept itself and expectations are near zero but his (damaged) characters are never banal and usually have depth/really unique traits...I'm curious.

I will probably watch it for JP. But ultimately I find it pointless, it's part of charm of a character not knowing his genesis, it was a big part of Ledgers Joker and I'm fine with it.
But that's the fault of clueless brownnosers in Hollywood that have to shoot those ideas to keep their sits in the biz (or burned out directors  Spoiler: | Prometheus |
).
Also if his background is really being a clown

Dceu is so disjointed.
Like... can the whole dceu concept and make decent movies with characters people can grow with.
Like... people arent looking forward to dceu movies no more. There very little hype for aquaman atm. And its coming out this year.
Joker movie is getting mixed reactions.
Its gonna have bruce waynes dad.
So no batmen. So whats the point? To show the origin?
Show the origin with like a year 1 batman.
