I kinda dont like how they had to make climbing so weightless and quick due to the kinda bloated scope the last two games
Also wth is that dialogue with the child? "You know the statue of zeus on the mountain?". Do those character even live there? Do they have very poor eyesight?

She gets punched in the chin yet her NOSE bleeds?!
Also, that kid she first talks to, is a girl or boy?!
Who makes these games?!
The height of nitpickery. Like seriously some of you only exist to whine about "vidya games. . ." The "oh god 30FPS is unplayable!" moaning was something else, but this is just silly.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s season pass will include, among other things, a remastered version of Assassin’s Creed III, publisher Ubisoft said today. There’s also downloadable content set in Atlantis, DLC surrounding the “first hero to wield the iconic hidden blade,” and a remaster of Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation.
The Assassin’s Creed III remaster will also be available standalone for PC, PS4, and Xbox One when it goes live in March, Ubisoft said. It’ll have improved “gameplay mechanics” and “ergonomics.”
(Liberatuin HD included in A3 Remaster)
Free Updates include:
The Lost Tales of Greece: Free episodic questlines will release regularly in-between episodes, providing a constant flow of new stories for players to discover. These quests will feature familiar faces and new characters from the world of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Recurring In-Game Events: Each week a new epic ship or mercenary will appear, presenting players with challenging battles as they hunt down these powerful enemies. Daily and weekly contracts will send players on new quests across Greece.
Discovery Tour: The educational tool will let players explore the game world in a conflict-free environment and learn about Ancient Greece’s monuments, culture and history.
Many more updates, including new monstrous and mythical creatures to defy and a New Game Plus mode presenting new challenges and the ability to see how different choices affect players’ stories.
so basically the 2 big DLCs shattered to episodes that are 6 weeks after each other, and some content patches with short questlines and ton of online only shit and events (that will be gone within a year like the egyptian gods) that has its own currency
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered will also include Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered, a game originally released on the PlayStation Vita. Both remastered games will feature 4K and HDR functionality on PS4 Pro, Xbox One X and PC, higher resolution textures, a new graphics engine, other graphical enhancements and improved gameplay mechanics.
Yay mandatory sneaking and stealth missions although they've probably tweaked it a bit.
(Combat was fun too if a bit based on doing combos and countering though not as much as the later games would go into doing combos for finishing enemies off.)
EDIT: Ah yeah it remains to be seen if AC3 HD will be out on PC, Rogue wasn't although it was less of a overhaul but it had some tweaks.
(So it could just be the existing version but this has several additional features now.)
FC3 was basically porting the PC version to console and breaking the fuck out of it apparently and they're still waiting on more patches for some of those issues.
Update: Ubisoft has clarified that Liberation will be sold alongside Assassin's Creed III Remastered, not separately. On the subject of changes to Assassin's Creed III, the publisher told us "based on player feedback, a large number of features have been revamped, tweaked or fixed. We’ll share more details leading up to the game’s launch."
So does this really look like a reskin of Origins? It's on sale today and I'm thinking of finally trying to get through it. But since I want to get this new one, I'm thinking maybe it's better that I skip it
My guess is that it is going to be like Brotherhood for AC2 or Syndicate for Unity - a full realization of the engine/concept but could feel derivative if you've played the original.
So if you haven't played Origins - this would be the one to try.
Yeah, it definitely looks like the core/structure of the game is back to being a more of the same kind of Ubiordeal, I was watching some gameplay videos and the combat, animations and even most of the assets are more or less directly taken straight from Origins.
There are additions here and there, though the (fleeble ) sense of novelty that I appreciated in Origins will likely not be present here, requiring a Spartan body that's once again fully ready to embrace many hours of intense grind, deja-vu and onebutton-based climbing, eaglesighting and stealthing.
I'm definitely going to play as Cassandra, Alexios seems dull and his voice acting is very inconsistent from what I've seen, also she's the canon choice/character, at least according to the book.

So you can buy your own galley sla...oarsmen including some cameos from the previous games.
Of course that's the Helix micro-transaction store although some of these are fueled by UPay points instead.
EDIT: And I see Alex is the protagonist of marketing then if Kassie was the canon one for the game itself.
(Spart and Femspart? Hmm no it doesn't work quite as well as Mass Effect now does it.)
The embargo ends on October 1st. So earliest benches may be then. And if not, on the next day gold edition owners can start playing so there will be plenty of videos.
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
