For example, shooting NPCs with an SMG/rifle in season 1 vs a fully upgraded MP5/M4 from Blood Money with rapid fire turned to 11. Or the current silverballer to the silverballer/USP from BM. There's just no comparison :/ I would even take the shooting from the first game over this.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Re-releasing the old levels with the new additions as a patch is a decent move
There are still an awful lot of missing features/potential improvements, but *it's something* (more realistically, I'd be a moderately happy panda if Season 2 will just be more friendly to offline players in general, with proper difficulty settings from the start and a better progression that sticks ).
..hopefully, after the recent-ish WB fiasco, when Agent 47 will open the suitcase he won't be welcomed by a confetti screen with gold reticle-shaped icon pointing at the Lidlman lootstore as the only mean to use the rifle

You shouldn't replay a missions to get a costume, you should do it to try a different approach.

I just bought the first episode. Was super unimpressed with the game.
Yeah I was excited with the aspect of playing a new Hitman game...then of course I realized is just a bunch of missions clumped together and their strong point was that you can replay the missions but try a different approach...and yet you get the same result...
you cant really force a game to be what it isnt, at least most of the times.
this hitman reboot is mostly big 6-7 levels with some cutscenes in between for a story, with big focus on map replayability, mostly a map is like a big puzzle, same outcome but many style of approaches.
its how the game is designed, not like absolution where it was a linear one, but more open world.
this said the first game was excelent even if you played only once, from the level design, gameplay to the soundtrack
