Free full games are: Enemy Territory, America's Army, TrackMania Nations, there also are shit loads of cracked servers for Call of Duty 2, Counter-Strike Source, Day of Defeat Source, Half-Life 2 DM, Battlefield 2.
You can also try Quake 3 and Serious Sam 2, I don't think they check key.

There are lots of games that you can play without a valid key. Any game that has a LAN mode availablke will be able to be played over the internet. Just use hamachi to connect the PC's. It's really really easy to setup and works brilliantly. You can get the program @ http://www.hamachi.cc/ For example Top Spin works really well using this tool.

need for kill is one brilliant example. quake in 2D
mad cars (death-rally clone) is a killer racing game, although the original death rally is better.
