see you on BFV !
ixi , do you always play BF? |
Teniak!! Welcome back (and congrats for..everything)
Sadly I don't think I'll play BFV (not yet at least) since I didn't particularly enjoy the beta and between the lack of free time and the giant backlog, things are a bit tricky. It doesn't help that my internet connection is getting even worse instead of upgrading, there have been a couple of nasty tornadoes last month (my backyard is still completely tits up) and my "top" speed at the moment is somewhere around 200KB/s

Did Battlefield V lose the one thing the series has retained over the years? I'm watching some streams, what happened to Frostbite engine? The graphics are so underwhelming.

And not to mention the fact that most streamers play with everything on low.

The game is incredible beautiful. Give a go and you will see what I mean (unless you run it on a lowend shitty pc that is)

Well, I'm a pretentious bastard so I'm not instantly mesmerized by a vista like the open-world generation of gamers. It's a bit sad that I find RDR2's visuals more impressive than Battlefield's, the latter using one of the best engines available and coming from a series that has been used as a the standard comparison for graphical fidelity.

I played a bit and I stand by what I previously said. The graphics are not impressive at all. There's so much trash effects to disable: blur, vignette, film grain, etc. and when the image is clear it's quite easy to spot every detail or lack of it. The explosions are so generic for a game of this caliber, indie games like Post Scriptum or Squad do a WAY better job at this. The texture's resolution seems pretty low and therefor. The pop-ups are the in your face kind and the new tracers glitch through the camera when getting shot.
Overall, the image is pleasant as in most games that aren't completely dated, but there's little to praise here compared with past titles.

i bet people expected the usual 5 maps every 3-4 months with a total of like 20 maps in 2 years when they said no season pass lol, now be glad if you get 5 maps in 2 years

I'm expecting a rehashing of assets. Even JackFargs said that the upcoming map uses old assets, so you can imagine.. The content is getting cut left and right now that they don't sell season pass and lootboxes. It's a WW2 game that doesn't have an iconic tank like Panther and by the looks American and Russian troops won't make it into the game anytime soon if at all.
