Patch 1.1, the first major one, will be on 12-16th of November.

There will be a beta branch, finally, next week.

Brace for as many bugs. Laughing

Nothing about faster loading times besides the initial loading screen. The loading times are ridiculous in the later chapters.

I do. It's pretty good, nice QoL improvements alongside bugfixes.

You can use saved games from 1.0, but they're just in a different folder ( Saved Games Test)

Loading times are better

Nice, thanks for the feedback. I thought it was supposed to be released this week though. Did they delay it?

Patch 1.1. is going live. Anyone care to write up a summary of how it is after playing a bit with the new patch later? I'm planning to buy it this weekend, even though I think 40 euros is a bit much, but I like what these guys are trying to do.

ISOdemo re-release with integrated 1.1 is also out, I'll give it a shot because I can't figure out yet how the progress is actually going just by the posts here. Constant patching is great but there's also the subjective feeling.

Grabbed the 1.1 version - but I'm not going to bother installing or playing until the inevitable hotfix for a hotfix for a hotfix comes out for all the shit that was inevitably broken with the new patch (these guys can't code or the game's framework is absolute shit - never have I seen patches break more than they fix until this title Very Happy )

No one seems to have played enough to comment about the patch (reddit, steam etc.) but I bought it anyway. Hopefully the patch is good enough to start playing tomorrow evening. I need my isometric RPG fix Sad

Can these GOG releases be updated being DRM free or is there a special way to do it if you don't own it? Figuring it's DRM free, you would think you could just get any updates.

It's technically managed by your GOG account even if the software has no additional digital license check or other means of copy protection so the patches are still held on GOG's servers and can only be downloaded if someone who owns the game uploads them elsewhere.
(Server side checks means you can't just link to the patch file from GOG's website either.)

Being copy protection free though usually means patches are quickly made available by other means though GOG and their system for processing patches unlike Steam can mean that patches arrive a bit later in comparison though if 1.1 is already up for grabs it shouldn't be too long until it's spread elsewhere too. After the my third attempt, I finally managed to finish the game.... a week before 1.1 hit. Even with all the bugs, I enjoyed this game more than any other in the last couple years. In order to get around a few bugs, and deficiencies in design, I ended up using Cheat Engine and the re-spec mod.

For those who are waiting, I would agree, that was probably the best choice. If you can hold off till 1.2, it may be even better. My impression of the patch process, so far, is that the game it has so many moving parts and interconnected systems, that it exceedingly difficult to test them all in a timely manner.

I hope that they ditch small DLC crap, and do a full fledged, old school xpac.

Well, it's Unity, so making a console version is easy.

I honestly can't see it being enjoyable there, but if they want to publish it why not?

What a great game. The exploration is top notch, game mechanics are fun and writing is OK. I killed the Stag Lord and are about to start the kingdom part. I especially like the difficulty, it's very good at normal.

My biggest problem currently is the story-telling itself, especially companions. It's all done in info dumps. I also do not understand why everyone seems to think I am awesome. Is the MC already some kind of hero in this game?

Well, you killed the Stag Lord. Cool

The storytelling isn't mind blowing and the companions lack the depth seen in other RPGs. The exploration is great but its quality is diminished over time as visual assets and even whole maps are reused multiple times. I won't even get into all the combat problems and bugs. However, I still think Pathfinder is a great RPG.

I'm not sure if you are trolling so I'm going dignify your reply with an answer. Mr. Green They reused smaller map which are part of the side content. It's still annoying, but not as bad as it sounded in my initial post.

So I've been on the fence with this game. They mentioned it gets some DNA from Fallout and BG, but I also read that those who haven't had the experience playing games like BG will have a rough go with this. Is that true? I never played BG but played Fallout 1 and 2. And, this actually looks good so how difficult is this for people who haven't played the traditional games like BG?
