Patch 1.1, the first major one, will be on 12-16th of November.
There will be a beta branch, finally, next week.

Really looking forward to try finally this.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

I do. It's pretty good, nice QoL improvements alongside bugfixes.
You can use saved games from 1.0, but they're just in a different folder ( Saved Games Test)
Loading times are better

Nice, thanks for the feedback. I thought it was supposed to be released this week though. Did they delay it?

Patch 1.1. is going live. Anyone care to write up a summary of how it is after playing a bit with the new patch later? I'm planning to buy it this weekend, even though I think 40 euros is a bit much, but I like what these guys are trying to do.

ISOdemo re-release with integrated 1.1 is also out, I'll give it a shot because I can't figure out yet how the progress is actually going just by the posts here. Constant patching is great but there's also the subjective feeling.

I also own this.
And I don't easily spent my hard earned money in games.
That says all.

Can these GOG releases be updated being DRM free or is there a special way to do it if you don't own it? Figuring it's DRM free, you would think you could just get any updates.

After the my third attempt, I finally managed to finish the game.... a week before 1.1 hit. Even with all the bugs, I enjoyed this game more than any other in the last couple years. In order to get around a few bugs, and deficiencies in design, I ended up using Cheat Engine and the re-spec mod.
For those who are waiting, I would agree, that was probably the best choice. If you can hold off till 1.2, it may be even better. My impression of the patch process, so far, is that the game it has so many moving parts and interconnected systems, that it exceedingly difficult to test them all in a timely manner.
I hope that they ditch small DLC crap, and do a full fledged, old school xpac.

Well, it's Unity, so making a console version is easy.
I honestly can't see it being enjoyable there, but if they want to publish it why not?

What a great game. The exploration is top notch, game mechanics are fun and writing is OK. I killed the Stag Lord and are about to start the kingdom part. I especially like the difficulty, it's very good at normal.

My biggest problem currently is the story-telling itself, especially companions. It's all done in info dumps. I also do not understand why everyone seems to think I am awesome. Is the MC already some kind of hero in this game?

So I've been on the fence with this game. They mentioned it gets some DNA from Fallout and BG, but I also read that those who haven't had the experience playing games like BG will have a rough go with this. Is that true? I never played BG but played Fallout 1 and 2. And, this actually looks good so how difficult is this for people who haven't played the traditional games like BG?
