I'm hoping we can still play Smash Bros, Guacamelee 2 and No More Heroes 3. (all come out by January)

Won’t be until a few months that games begin using the new master key anyway. That leaves us some time in to figuring this out I guess... |
As long as things are working when shin megami temsei is out then im all good!

But... surely this is only an issue for the newer revised hardware?

No this issue is for all hardware because they resecured their console with software obfuscation (that still relies on current hardware). It’s should still be crackable but it’s gonna be hard. You can still feed to the CPU 6.2.0 firmware files so..
Hopefully doesn’t take as much as time ps3 3.60 keys that sony hid well (but that was because the boot loader wasn’t decrypted).
Seems like Nintendo is relying on the CPU to generate the new keys rather than their software. Still it’s crackable, will just take time.
Also no worry for smash bros, the game is not even encrypted with 6.00 keys, it’s still a 5.X game...
Afaik there are no 6.0 games yet so.. we have quite some time to see 7.x base games (new master key rev).
I know that 2 games have updates encrypted with master key 6 though (RPG maker and mr saiko)

So the hack that everyone was boasting nintendo could do nothing about except via a hardware revision, has in fact been closed off for future games?
This will end up like the PS4 scene where people have to stay on old firmware and can't play any newer stuff. Which is kinda pointless.

Sony managed to make things harder with PS3 3.55 also.
Ultimately it's a lost battle for Nintendo cuz obfuscation always get cracked.

I usually never agree with you but I think this is indeed more likely to be hacked than new PS4 firmware.
This new protection is more like a Denuvo attempt I'd say.
The console is still pwned. You can still downgrade from 6.2.0 to 6.1.0 so the hardware is still flawed (although you'll need to boot a payload every time, and lose sleep cuz of the burnt fuse).

Is that an email being sent to Nintendo telling them how they've hacked 6.2?

A proper leak of Smash Bros Ultimate is floating on P2P. Works on 5.x too (obviously since Nintendo is sitting on it for ages).

That's the suncat release, it's legit but crashes sometimes,
there is a newer release which is an xci to nsp conversion, Hashes of this version are:

Not sure about the “other release” but the initial one is a frankensteinish NSP although this shouldn’t change with how the game works.
They took the meta data file + control NCA from the preload (these are not encrypted) and mixed them with the program (main one) NCA from a xci leak.
The manual crashes because the manual NCA is still encrypted with the title key from the preload, and only the manual NCA from the real cart is not.
Most likely the only difference between the 2 NSP if there are indeed 2 builds.

Got the first one that got posted on umbra... gdrive links, and mega links... works.... but game sucks. Never liked smash lol. Was an ordeal cause it was a lazy day. Downloaded on phone, used ftp, to transfer to switch and then installed. Took more time to do all that than to play.

First off I wanted to say thanks to all who have posted in the last few weeks. I bought a switch and the sx pro so all the tips/advice has been great. Also, looks like the 200 gig amazon card is $29.99 on amazon currently for cyber monday. I bought a 128 gig a few weeks ago for almost the same price....oh well.
