I'm just staying with the one that supposedly crashes until it crashes. We don't really know if those that got crashes were using exFAT and thus more susceptible to crashes in the first place. Even if it does crash and corrupts my sd card I keep all files from my sd card on my computer I can just reformat the card and recopy the files over.

I am reading about crashes on the 25E version. Could the format of the sd card matter? exFAT vs FAT32? I haven't seen anyone on FAT32 have that issue so far including me, but I've only played a few hours.

I used ReiNX for NAND backup, works well and is reliable. Can't say anything about SXOS, used the firmware for a while but not the Backup tool.

They all do the (same) job.
Also played the 25E versions for 2h, no crash whatsoever. Make sure you dont use the manual though, it'll crash since it's encrypted.
I'm on FAT32, and still on 5.1.0.
Also I doubt there is a hidden payload that bricks your system, that being said i suggest you have a nand backup because it's easy to misclick on Firmware update, so at least you can downgrade hassle free, minus sleep rather than wait for new firmware hacks.

What manual, the help section with all the sub-sections, faqs etc.?
I can open those things without problems in the 2nd version.

The thing about backing up your firmware it's great but your saves would revert back to when you made the backup, so you'd lose all progress in all games since you made the backup. So it's probably best to make one often every few days if you can or once a week.
Or I guess you could backup your saves seperately and frequently with checkpoint that would probably be easier.

or even if you brick, and have your biskeys, you can still mount /SYSTEM and backup your saves that way...

So... is the latest FW working on SX OS yet?
I am sick of the "update game" and general update prompts - anyway to stop them (I know my kid is going to click yes soon!!)

Does having stealth mode enabled not stop the firmware nags? i have it enabled on my sx os and dont get the firmware nags.
Also post from TX warning not to update to it from today.

I was thinking of buying SX Os just because of the usb support. Would that only work with Pro or could I just buy a license? Whats the difference between Pro and the license?

6.2 is here.
I was wondering if it's worth it to pay for SX OS and use a 500 gb hard drive that would most likely set me up for the rest of Switch's life if CFW continues. So far the hackers have owned everything Nintendo is try so I'm thinking to just go for it.

I think autoRCM is hassle free and no risk of booting into OFW and burn a fuse.

There is no issue with autoRCM and battery.
Only issue is that you need to shutdown from hekate/sxos/atmosphere if you dont wanna have your battery used.
Or just do as 99% of switch users: don't shutdown your switch, and let it sleep.

For whatever reason, I've just never liked the idea of doing AutoRCM. Even though I know it's safe you're bricking your Switch to force it to go into RCM every time. I just think what if one day none of the RCM stuff is necessary and then you still have to boot to RCM (I think)
But anyway RCMReboot is just a manual reboot into RCM (just as an App on the album) in case you need to remove your sd card or something, it doesn't effect OFW. With sleep mode and this there's just no reason for me to need AutoRCM.
But of course if you already have AutoRCM you won't find this useful.

You can disable autoRCM though if you don't want it anymore... "Unbricking" your boot0.
