Yes, that's what's called "SSL Inspection". Man in the middle.

You know, it's odd that it was only trying to force inject this shit while I browsed on here....

I've browsed Liveleak, BBC, and a bunch of other non https: sites over the past two days, and yet the crap never triggered.

As for the method - like I've said - I use Google's DNS (not my ISPs), and NoScript did actually successfully block it, resulting in a full white page. The IP it used traced back to a full range of IP's owned by the ISP.

I never installed or accepted any third party certificates browser wise. Systems clean. So however they're doing it, it's on their end without my knowledge or consent. Not happy.

But given the choice between Comcast's 1TB cap and non-native speaking tech support that takes a week to schedule a know nothing technician, and these guys, I'll stick with the lesser of two evils.

I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

I imagine it will be hard to complain about this... at least in my experience, tech support barely knows the basics, they only follow some problem solving guide, so when you talk about javascript injection they'll be like lol wut

Anyway, please report back if you do something about it, I'm curious, and good luck!

Guy's, I have the role of Forum admin, not server admin, so if a component is failing or needs a restart, or if some sql needs to be executed, there isn't much that I can do Sad

I know, I just didn't feel like starting a separate thread so I hijacked this one to complain about how dead the hump was at the time. Wink

That search function does act up sometimes.
The other day my search was a single little word, and I got "bad query".
I hit the back button, capitalised the first letter and then I got results.

Capitalist pigs!

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Hey can you PM me the details of your search and I'll look into it. The backend is a modified sphinx search engine because of the shear amount of posts in this forum regular phpBB couldn't keep up.
