I finished it and it was good. I really liked the story until halfway route C, after that I began to lose interest. I guess I expected something much better in the end, but it ended alright. A pretty unique game, but the ending and the technical mess (I had several crashes during route C) left a bad aftertaste.

It shouldn't. This sounds like a re-release with bonus content, not any sort of remaster.

I just had to look up Yoko Taru/Taru Yoko and why he's wearing a mask.
Scopophobia is the closest thing to his problem (although not the exact description). Explains the opening instructions by that woman.

They usually come up with the dumbest reasons for it too, like in Quiet's case in MGS5. However, as far as I remember, Yoko Taru said once that with 2B it was simply because he likes women. Man's being honest at least, heh.

Who doesn't like scantily clad women (well, except for the obvious male gays and some religiously moralistic fascists)? But in a brutal action game it's so silly to have the heroine look like a porn star, it takes away immersion (for me at least) since it's so ridiculously unbelievable.

I remember that he even encouraged the community to create .zip collections of all types of 2B's buttocks on Twitter, so that he could download them 
In a world where puritanism is slowly becoming the ruling dogma and many franchises/developers in gaming get subjected to indirect forms of expurgation, that's something to cherish in my opinion. He doesn't give a damn, and I love that.  The best part is, the ridiculous looks of the protagonist actually makes sense in the context of the game, it just surprisingly fits.
That said, the fact that the horrible state of the PC version was completely ignored indeed is a deadly sin, Yarr&FAR(tm) all the way. It is an experience that deserves to be played though, flawed and a bit repetitive in its structure but also incredibly unique. |

Everything in the game is so tonally off yet all the ridiculous things fit weirdly in that the stockings+boots of the girl and school uniform of the boy were the least of my concerns. Like why do Androids need beds to sleep? Why do the robots keep respawning? Where do the villagers sleep etc etc  Also, what porn are you watching btw that has a girl wearing a blindfold and frilly skirt 
1 and 2 are still amazing. |

The PC version with the community fixes is ok. Not the best port, but not worse than the console versions either, assuming you have the hardware for it, of course.

Does anyone know if all keys for this game were turned into YoRHa edition? Some stores seem to only list it as the normal game, without mentioning if it's just the base game or not. Some have both listed, while Steam only has the YoRHa edition anymore, but under the normal title.

sadly from what i managed to gatherthats not entirely true , it fixes some of them , and depending on your HW the original with FAR is still mostly superior , given the issues that UWP itself brings
but its something i guess
