Actually in this game camping doesnt really form part of its core gameplay really. It sound stupid but it isnt, players are usually really aggresive and roam high rewards zones or actively hunt players. I havent found high geared players camping and ive never really died from campers, maybe 2-3 times in the last 4 months.
My only critique of the game is how hard it is to fight high armored people when you start out, but you just have to switch tactics. Leg meta so they call it, also using high recoil 7.62 weapons was a game changer to me, i was using 5.56, no kills, switched to 7.62 and i became a beast.
I cant wait for this game to keep growing and polishing, its going to be great. (personally to me it already is, its such a fuycking rushhhhhh and so damn exciting to play)

Yup, no one ever camps in this game, people in good gear play really aggressively and love the game for that, once people get over the gear fear you find yourself fighting players the moment you fire a single shot cause everyone good runs instantly towards gunfire when they hear it.

I finally got around to trying this. It's criminal that it's not being used as a base for a STALKER game
I've only been doing PVE to get my head around it all so far. I'm not looking forward to MP too much. To me it screeeeeeeeeeams of a game that rewards camping, so I'm guessing that's going to be the way it goes.

Truly the game is something else and its currently in a good phase. Hackers usually come and go, developers find a way to hack again, people swarm it for a few days, game devs patch and ban everyone and its clean again.

And the next patch should fix a LOT of issues that have been plaguing the game for a while, and hopefully without introducing too many new ones..
Best thing about it? They hit videos that had no copyrighted content and admitted it was done to "ensure that the youtuber does not spread false information"
Uhhh, I don't think they know what a DMCA strike can and cannot be used to do . While it was used to stifle criticism, it was usually baseless.
ok I enquired about it and received the following update (after public outroar):
They didn't do DMCA strikes, but copyright takedowns (guess it's different?)
his account hasn't received a single strike from them
they brought back 45 of the 47 videos they took down
the 2 videos are the ones in question, where he claimed they leaked data
Every single one of those videos were DMCA'd individually, which means all of the 47 were potential strikes. (even more of a dick move!)
Doesn't matter anyway. From what I could gather, if they happen not to sue him, he can sue them and almost win by default.

When have Russian devs been "nice"? I remember arguments with developers in IL2 Sturmovik forums, and they were complete assholes. Maybe it's a language barrier, maybe people in east Europe are much more direct, or they are drunk all the time. It doesn't matter. They have never been nice. They always do whatever it takes to achieve what they want, disregarding rules or etiquette.
Same question as above: would someone be willing to lend me their account for a few days if they aren't playing? I finally have the hardware to actually run the game. I'm not in a hurry to try it out, August would also be perfect for me.
I got one someone can buy if they want it. Game is absolute trash. We bitched and moaned for over months about the spawn camping and they need to randomize it. Haven't played in over a year.
Did they listen? Nope. Spawn in, take two steps, shot in the head lose my stuff. Spawn in a new location, spawn, look around to see where I'm at. Dead.
