I personally don't care what gender or race the doctor is, the stories are just terrible IMO. Not a single episode of this season felt like Doctor Who to me. No one can say this series ever had awesome writing, but the weird style is completely gone. Da fuck are they trying to do? Re-invent the show?
The companions, the Doctor, the stories, the bad guys, pretty much everything about this season is one giant piece of boring. They totally ruined the show for me. I don't care who or what plays the Doctor, but it's BORING

And then you go online to rotten tomatoes check season 11 and see 96% fresh, 33 fresh 0 rotten. Are they serious? Doesn't anyone have the spine to say hey your new stories are shit and it has nothing to do with the sex of the Doctor?

Prior seasons the sjw was built into plot in a way that being gay meant something and not a token gesture. A lot of idjits loved harkness and torchwood. Even though the main character was gay.
Black companion went through shite, but it was for character development. It was less on the nose.
Right now theyre blaming misogyny even though the main problem is the inherent preaching. When the doctor is the only good thing about the show.
And as expected... ratings took a massive hit.. also..

I see a lot of positive responses on twitter from the target audience. Just cause ratings are going down... doesnt mean they arent hitting their intented mark. Ratings matter in north america for advertising. Ratings dont matter for pbs or bbc as much since cost of production isnt based off of advert revenue.
Stats can easily be made to look the way they want. Just look at all the PC capitulation going on with RT's scores. Pathetic and blatant. Pleeaassee... but not at all shocking however.
As for Timcast.. he always presents a reasonable articulate argument (being an Lib SJW too) to which I agree with him almost all the time which is quite incredible considering. A great breath of fresh air in a time of extreme insanity and emotion over logic / balance / reason.
