And hopefully cancelled. The zombie craze the last couple of years is beginning to wear thin with so much crap being released. This modern crap makes the old classic (non-romero/Grau/etc.) crap seem like Shakespeare in comparison.

I feel that this is the right thing for Snyder tbh. Free hands and zombies mayhem.
Dawn of the Dead is still his best movie imo.

Well, to be fair - there are shitloads of incredible BAD zombie movies from the 80s and 90s ..

For me - i love most zombie movies (even bad ones, although, it has to be old bad ones for me to enjoy it) and i have hopes for this one Smile

Mmm a heist in zombie post apocalypse. I mean the only explanation for needing paper money is lack of toilet paper.

From cinematography Jesus and movie messiaha Zack Snyder #quality

How is he a cinematography Jesus? Lol
This is his first time being a dop lol.

I expect it to look like a Michael Bay movie, not much like a zack snyder movie.

Trailer looks very bay, and less snyder

Reading about his version of JL people depict him as such. But he is a hack a couple good movies in his early carrier yet getting progresively worse with every new one.

He works with good dops who frame the shots he wants. You work with talented people and you get what he produces/creates.

This is interesting as its him doing the directing and camera work. He hasn't done camera work before AFAIK. But teaser looks like a bay movie. If he's capable of doing Michael Bay brainless action - then im all for it.

Damn, I made the original post in 2011.... and today I saw that a teaser had been released. 10 years in development hell and completely forgotten until now (by me at least). lol.

It does look entertaining and the idea of doing a heist during a zombie outbreak is fairly novel.

Oh, I agree. I watched so many late 70'ies and 80'ies horror films including the Fulci flicks as well as many obscure ones like "Living Dead at Manchester Morgue" and other Jorge Grau movies as well as the "Tombs of the Blind Dead" movies during my 20'ies and 30'ies. Out of Fulci's work my fave movie is The Beyond with City of the Living Dead coming second. I'm not a fan of Zombi 3 (and apparently Fulci wasn't either since he left the movie before it was finished).

I think i have most horror movies from the 40-90s at my plex server. Despite many of them old ones being crap i do enjoy them.
If I have to pic a Fulci movie its always Zombi 2 <hands down> love it. I rewatched it some months ago and the shark scene still amaze me Very Happy

Oh, I have a nice collection of classic movies with Vincent Price, Christopher Lee etc. which I tend to go back to every now and then.

And yes, Zombi 2 was good (as opposed to Zombi 3 Razz ) but I personally prefer the two I mentioned.

I'm also a huge Dario Argento fan (well, his pre-90'ies work at any rate).

Oh yes, they do. Modern stuff doesn't compare; most of them lack the gritty and atmospheric quality of those old classics.

Depends whether it's actually post apoc, or just a localised apocalypse.

Localised zombie outbreak movies/settings seem to be really rare.

Been there, done that. Wink

And we're "slightly" in topic in a way. Have you even seen The Night of the Devils aka La notte dei diavoli from 1972? It's definitely a classic (and fairly unknown).
