Benoyd wrote: | Ok i really suck at explaining stuff but here it goes... Spoiler: | First i didn't think they really could be such a big threat except out on the sea and now when he mention "They are changing us all, they will take over", or whatever he said. Made clear for me that what they are trying to do is to change the humanity's DNA so the humans can become one of them. I warned you i really don't make any sense. Anyway thats proboarly why that old doctor got killed in the early episodes, cause he found out the agenda of them and now we know that the organisation that's responsible has some sort of powers ie they doesn't seem to age a bit, and that's why they "killed" that female sientist. (atleast i think they killed her). They also made it clear that "the organisation" is really forward in the genetics. And it gave me a theory, you know when they saw the movie and found a crater with that orchid?, now what if that is some sort of alien life form that alter humans DNA to carry out their agenda? example: to create those creatures so they can habitat earth or something like that. | Brainstorm my idea/s and make up your own Either way the series got helluva more interesting in the last episode . |
lol that was actually pretty good and made plenty of sense to me. you could be right but personally I dont think of things like that or theories when Im watching these shows. I just watch them and whatever happens. Spoiler: | I thought you might mention Davis Lee in your theory and why he hasnt aged since the expedition. You think he could be an alien? lol I really didnt expect this show to be extraterrestrial related but that crater does suggest the orchid is not of this planet. And what of the ape that spoke like the little girl?! |

Hehe thanks Im not done yet Spoiler: | Ah yes, The bold guy that looks like he's from Asia, No not really an alien, i think he altred he's DNA somehow or maybe the orchid atlerd it for him as a vessel or something but it has to do with the orchid. The Ape was proboarly some sort of DNA experiment from the sientist they left behind but why the hell would they leave a talking monkey behind? now when i think of it... did you notice the screensaver on the computer lol? it was a monkey haha to be exact it was the early donkey kong, not that it explains anything i just tought of it . Anyway it could have been (i suck on names! the dude who got attacked) that just has a wild imagination, It's not the first time he sees stuff, example: He's brother in a mud pud and in the water machine etc, and all the stuff he saw on the bottom of the ocean, could he really be alive? That would improve my theory about the altering DNA thingy. |
I hope i make sense hehe.

I thought you said you suck at explaining stuff!? I wouldnt say so but I never thought any of that you have mentioned and you do make sense. As awesome as Surface is, I think Invasion is just slightly better. Lost has been knocked off the top spot in the top tv series in my opinion!
May the NFOrce be with you always.

I really enjoyed this weeks episode, actually i like this show more now than Invasion, not to mention Lost
Spoiler: | What do you think it is all about in this factory? They have all the creatures in tanks or are reproducing them. And what about this huge train station at the end wich leads down. I'm beginning to think that Kessler wants to design a better world or he wants to take it over don't really know yet |

Use spoilertags next time... Anyway this weeks episode was amazing, holy crap the last nine minutes was fucking brilliant. It all makes sense now.
If you haven't seen the latest episode of Surface (14) DO NOT read the following spoiler.
Spoiler: | It never occured to me that the "younger Kessler" was a clone! Not even once, brilliant! Now im starting to see why the Older Kessler got killed. It's because he found out that it really was man made. I think that the "younger Kessler" which ofcourse is a clone (doh) took a bit of another approach on this project, Older Kessler found out that he's clone made them, or atleast that they were manmade so he's clone killed him. Now he's ambitions is pure brilliant i never saw the noa's arc approach comming! Amazing what they can turn into, i tought this series would be dull after 2eps or so but now i really start to see how fucking brilliant it is!. Incase i got you confused let me sum this up and move on.
. Old Kessler got killed by he's clone because he found out of the "speicies".
. Clone continues project: Noah's Arc.
. Now when they find out about him being a clone, He figures it out himself that he's just a clone. Maybe that's why he let her survive. I haven't figured that out yet, Maybe he just thinks it doesn't make a difference because humanity as they know it is on the erge of dying out.
. When he said the Noah's Arc thingy i realised that thats exactly what they are trying to do. Destroy the "impure" mankind and rebuild a new world. With all the speices and so on you know the myth about the Arc, this is just slightly modified .
And Bang! This is where the brilliant part is. The creatures is just something to help them out in the process. What good does a nuclear bomb do? it will destroy most of the stuff on earth the habitat of the planet. That's just foolish.
Where Nim comes in, first i tought it was a silly thing for the series, Nim biting Miles to change him into a hybrid. Now it makes sense, that he has a bigger part yet to be unvealed. Somehow he will be the savior even if humanity will be... kinda killed or most of it. There is no avoding it unless they have a "Push the red button to destroy all the creatures in the bottom of the ocean that is trying to create tsunamis all over the world".
Now the train thingy. That clearly shows us that theese guys are prepared for the worst. Proboarly even for a Tsnuami or ten... Or even a nuclearwar... It's so brilliant made up...
Once it's all over they will rule the entire planet to build the perfect empire, not to rule it. Just redo all the shit we've done. |
Post your toughts! Gaaaaah i hope it won't end next week I hope there will be a Season Two because this is fucking amazing.

wasn't this supposed to be a double ep, or did they only air one episode? Didn't have the time to check it out yet.

If thats true, that totally sucks. I like Invasion more than any other show and if it gets canned just like Threshold due to poor ratings I will be less than impressed.
May the NFOrce be with you always.

That would indeed suck, i know they cancelled Threshold weeks ago, but it's still airing on SkyOne, so what's the deal here, a cancelled US show continues on British television?
Edit:
Just watched the season finale of Surface and it was kinda disappointing. It would have been great if it was just another ep of the season, but it sucks that it ends like this, they don't reveal or explain that much, it's really a shame the show has ended, yet they keep all the reality crap :/

Agreed. It was good from the start. Started getting great eps 10-12. Eps 12+ were just friggin awesome.
Spoiler from Ep 14/15 (I forget which one exactly)
Spoiler: | The fight scene between Miles and his sister's B/F was just unbelievable. The bit where just places his hand on the dude's head and zaps him was probably the coolest scene from any television show I've seen this season |

Benoyd, I think you are a bit confused. We never even get to see Kesslers face, he's the guy that we see Lee (the cloned government official) talking to in the greenhouse, and also the guy in the old expedition tape with the hat always covering his face. Whether or not he's a clone is conjecture at this point, although we know that if he was a normal human he would be 110 years old. I missed episode 12, so if there was any Kessler info revealed in this episode feel free to correct me.
As for the Noahs Ark tangent, well it's not exactly original. It's been done in many films before, including a bond film. The original aspect is how they are facilitating the destruction of the other life on earth, by using a genetically engineered invasive species to destablise the mantle and cause catastrophic seismic shifts. Although to me it seems rather impratical. Just create a pathogen with 100% mortality that has a finite lifespan, job done, no destruction.
About them having a monorail traversing the Marianas trench, well I don't believe thats a contingency plan, but the original plan, i.e. cause massive destruction on the earths surface through tectonic imbalance, and hide at the deepest point on earth until the creatures ( Which I assume have been genetically engineered to have a short lifespan) die out, then reemerge when the earth has stabilised and repopulate.

Only a stupid Christian could come up with the idea to take two animals, and believe that they could recreate an entire species from the start.
The genetic mutations in 2:nd or 3:rd gen would make the species sterile, and probably pretty defective.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

This is highly dependent upon the species, but not only would inbreeding dramatically increase the risk of hereditary disorders, there is also the issue of getting the animals to mate, there is no guarantee that they would.
You would think they would just freeze the zygotes of lets say 100 individuals of both sex's and then inseminate 5 females, using them as a biological womb for the different parents.

Sign it please guys! |
Already signed the petition, but i doubt it will get anywhere. Though i did sign a petition last year on some tv show online mag for Veronica Mars and almost 500.000 people voted for VM and UPN decided because of the petition to continue with season one.
