I found Metro Redux to be very well optimized. I managed to get 60 FPS stable on much weaker system than yours - 660 Ti and i7 860. I had to reduce the Quality to High (it mostly affects the lighting) but all else I believe kept on max. On top of that I used Reshade.

That's bullshit. I've bought tons of games that I pirated first, fell in love with a game and bought it. Sure, there are some people that simply don't buy games but his claim is mostly nonsense.
Yup, latest game was Kingdom Come I bought like that. Went Isodemo to see the state it was in. Was playing for quite a few hours and figured it was time to spend money on it since I liked it.
It always ends up like that with games I 'pirate' and enjoy. The ISOdemo is just treated as a full feature demo not limiting me too much.
I feel bad for the developers. They work their ass for years and want to see the game score good and people enjoy it probably but publisher makes it a mess

The original was in Russian as well and I don't have a good source for the original statement so who knows how it got translated and twisted if out of context or at worst Google'd because that really fucks up meaning and intent though I can see them trying to spin it that way so it's probably not too far off though they're now backpedaling a bit.

It's pretty accurate. I wouldn't say it was a direct threat though.
I mean, it's really simple. If lots of players decide to boycott a game on a particular platform, why should devs waste resources on releasing their next game on this platform then? It's business.
We'll see how things play out, but threatening or pissing off your fan base rarely works out well. Especially when you consider most of your fans throughout the years were playing on a PC.
