I really want my wallruning and walldodging otherwise pretty good, now just need someone to put mount and blade combat into a br game to make me like it more than this one
Just played around to test my 2080 a bit and well, we a) won and b) It reminded me why I hated BR games.
So, we won...
One of our squadmates left halfway through, not dead, just quit... without any kills.
I did a total of 200ish damage, 0 kills.
The other guy did like 300ish damage and 2 or 3 kills.
We didn't see ANYONE for the most part of the game and yet we never stopped running from place to place, looting and stuff.
In the end, we spent probably 13 minutes running and 2 minutes "fighting" and when I say "fighting" I mean we ran into the other 2 last squads killing each other in a building, we went in, I died like a noob, while my squaddie killed the last 2 off...
Well, you can fight the very first 30 seconds if you want to. Don't go in areas where no one else goes and you will have constant action. You chose your pace of the game in most cases.
Apex is extremely fast BR if you want it to be.

Yeah. I think it's more fun if you just drop early and get to practice shooting because getting all geared up by dropping late in a remote area can get pretty disappointing when you do run into a squad after 15 minutes of running around and they wipe you with superior aiming.
Well, it's much more complicated game than it initially looks like. I haven't had a kill or even done more than 100 damage in the first few matches. But once you learn or read about the weapons and loot places it becames much easier. Some of them are useless and do almost no damage like the Mozambique "shotgun" and the P2020 pistol.
I am level 9 now with I think ~25 matches (I just checked and it says I played 7 matches, maybe those with under 1 minute survival time don't count? ) and finally did 5 kills in a single game, mostly with the Peacekeeper. It destroys everyone at close range. I still have no idea what different attachments do because the others move around too quickly and I try to follow and have no time to read descriptions. And just learned that the yellow quality helmet not only decreases headshot damage on you but also reduces the using time on consumable such as shield cells and recharge time for abilities and ultimate. For example with a white quality helmet you use the shield cell for 3 secs while with a yellow helmet it's 1.5.
Looks like they copied at least some of the weapon rankings straight from Titanfall 2 if I remember correctly. At least the shotgun and assault rifles classes look like it.
I reached a PUBG burnout so I gave this game a try. I like it. It's a nice change in pace from how PUBG matches unfold. The action can be quite frenetic, but the game doesn't lack tactical values. It's definitely more streamlined which is one of the reasons is so popular right now. But I don't mind this because it works well with the faster nature of the gameplay. The shooting is solid and the "legends" add some depth and variety.
The performance is not always stable, the UI looks bad and the lack of leaderboard/ranked is quite a bummer. But there's a ton of potential for EA to mismanage. I'm looking forward to see more maps, guns, heroes and a better incentive for competition.
No, the concept of the PUBG UI is just bad. It's like they took ARMA as base and tried to evolve on it without rethinking properly.
Even the mobile version of PUBG does some things better than the desktop game in that regard.
Regarding APEX: I do not like that you can't immediately tell if you can actually make us of an item or not. I feel sometimes as if I need 10 seconds to just understand what the fuck is there in front of me and if it is of any use for me :/

You are the Champion...
This is just BS lol.
This is exactly what happened to me too. I ain't a big fan of BR games but I did like the calm wandering in PUBG. This has naturally something to do with me being too old and incapable of keeping up with today's FPS multiplayer junkies. The fact that I can sneak my way up into the final fight was the reason I liked the game.
This game is different. As a group in a smaller map (?) you get into fights more easily. That hasn't been very favorable to me. But I get to see some pretty good players.

You mean the attachments ? They seem hard to understand in the beginning but actually pretty easy. On the bottom it says the weapon type they are for - like sniper, smg, or specific weapon such as the Prowler. When you learn in which category a weapon is you should start with learning the attachments. This should help with them - https://progameguides.com/apex-legends/apex-legends-attachments-list-guide/
Another item group are the throwables ("G" key by default) - grenade, thermite and arc star. And then the consumables ("4" key)- syringes, shield cells/batteries and phoenix kit. I think there are all items so far. They will probably create for in future updates.
Oh yes and the "Ultimate Accelerator" that only gives 20% to your ultimate but takes too much time to use and is nearly useless.
Except for the markers these things are present in mobile pubg too! It picks up the correct ammo and attachments and auto attaches them and you can specify in the menu how many to pick up of what etc. It's quite good!
The way this game decides who's the "champion" of the game is very interesting...
You dont get the system?I can also be champion if i kill20 Guys last game and talke a new champion in the next game and it wil say 0 kils, because i never had a kil with the champion i use this game

You assume I killed 20 guys the game before and then switched hero?
No pax,you just had the most kils game before no matter what here you where playing, and the other Guy with plus 300kil switched here so it looks like you are noob and system is wrong?
making apex with pubg "slower" features just wouldnt work, pubg is more tactical with matches lasting like 45min and big maps where apex is fast paced even more than cod blackout with like 15min matches and much smaller map
other br games forces you to use a mic if in a squad, you have to rely on compas to pinout enemies etc, apex uses ping like r6 siege which works very good without mic but at the same time making the compas useless, also you can ping anything in your inventory if you need anything, contextual ping, ping to a building if its looted and your character will say it etc, makes a big difference
the same goes for everything else, everything is done in a way to not spend useless time, you even find higher quality gear faster than other br games, automatic group landing makes sense, you can always depart still
as for the champion, i think its the one who won a match in a previous round, even if you had 1 kill or 0 youre still champion if nobody else won in the current match
