EA CEO Andrew Wilson earned $35.7 million or about 371 times more than the average Electronic Arts employee. About 97% of EA's shareholders agreed with this payout, which is calculated as an excess of over $19 million.
Pachter says that due to the ability to fly and maneuver the character in the air, which in his opinion "resembles driving a car", Anthem "is not a PC production"; BioWare's controls "do not work well on the computer", while on the consoles, it's "flawless".
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

I: Could you give our readers an explanation of what you do as an analyst, how you approach your job and what you base your opinions on?
MP: I think the most important thing for them to understand is being a consumer is largely irrelevant. These guys who spout off [say], "He doesnt know anything about games, I finished Halo in six hours." I'm like. "**** YOU,' who cares if you can play games, I'm just sayin, "Big Fuckin Deal?" Whats the prerequisite of playing Call of Duty? $60. There are no barriers of entry to play games. So, you're a gamer, who cares? Nobody listens to me because I'm better at Call of Duty or Battlefield than the other analysts. That's irrelevant. I don't think it matters if you play them at all. What matter is that I understand the business so I help investors.
This is our plan for changes to go live on February 28th or March 1st (central US time)
Inscriptions are now better for the items they are on
This applies to new items earned in Anthem (not existing ones in your Vault)
If an inscription applies only to the item it is on (gear icon), it will be useful to that item. Otherwise the inscription will provide a Javelin wide benefit
For example, an Assault Rifle will not have an item specific +pistol damage inscription. It may have a +electric damage suit wide inscription (cool for a lightning build)
Some more information below
Removed uncommon (white) and common (green) items from level 30 drop tables
This was a highly requested change and we agree, so that’s that.
We have reduced the crafting materials needed to craft a masterwork from 25 masterwork embers to 15 masterwork embers
As you salvage or harvest, you should be able to craft more masterwork items to get the inscriptions you are looking for
Now that inscriptions are more relevant to their item, this should yield better results for players
Additional inscription change details
Current: There are a large pool of inscription options available to roll on items, the inscription pools are generic (e.g. Weapons)
Every masterwork item has 4 inscriptions – Major Primary, Minor Primary, Major Secondary, Minor Secondary
Change: Each item type now has a specific set of inscription options for each of their inscription pools. The pools are smaller and are targeted to the specific item type
E.g. there used to be a Weapon pool, now there is an Assault Rifle pool and the assault rifle pool has 4 pools for each of the inscription types listed above
Primary inscriptions are focused on damage or survivability
Any item specific inscriptions (gear icon) will always benefit the item they are on
Javelin wide inscriptions (suit icon) will benefit damage or survivability across the whole Javelin
Secondary inscriptions focus on utility and can be targeted to the item (gear icon) or the entire javelin (suit icon)
There are likely a bunch of questions, we will read through the comments and if we need an additional post to clarify things, we can work on that.
Thanks again for all of your support
Ben

First part of the Loot Update is live (server side only)

Hey Freelancers,
Here is the update that you were all waiting on! The following changes are now live:
Items will no longer have inscriptions on them that are not appropriate for that specific item. NOTE: This only applies to items obtained after the patch. Items obtained prior to the hotfix will still have the same inscriptions they had before.
Masterwork crafting costs have been reduced from 25 -> 15 Masterwork Embers. The amount of plants, metal and parts required for crafting a Masterwork item have also been reduced.
For now, I am done with Anthem, until they really fix it and actually turn it into a loot shooter.
Right now, it´s "just" a shooter.
Ofc none of the reviewers actually talked about that point, which just shows how little they've played before crying and bitching about "loading screens"...
The game is/was fun, until it gets to the end and more precise to the part, where you want to get BETTER gear.
At first, you have the logical increase in quality, so you always think and feel, like it's an improvement over the old gear. I.e. going from white to green to blue to purple. Plus you also level up, so gear as well becomes a higher level. And that's fine.
But once you are level capped, so is the gear. So YOu find your Masterwork Items and again, from purple to masterwork it's a guaranteed upgrade. I mean MW has like 4-5 times more Armor ffs. And they always have at least some fixed "special/bonus", like a buff, or effect.
So that's fine. But once you are all decked out with Masterwork items, you're DONE. Not that you can't find better versions of your MW items, or maybe even a legendary, which lazy as can be are just the same MW items with 2 additional levels added to it... I mean talk about lazy... but anyway, the RNG in this game is EXTREME, I mean you can have stats from like +1% fire damage to +150% weapon damage or +5% ammo for snipers... So getting an item, that is an actual upgrade, is almost impossible.
Oh and they only removed stats, that can't be used for the class or the item itself.
I.e. a weapon that does impact damage, won't get a "gear only + fire damage" or a colossus component won't get a "+pistol damage". But everything else still goes.
So you'll get a Sniper rifle with +1% fire damage and +10%lmg Ammo, for example.
So the grind necessary, to get an upgrade is just insane. Because on top of that, they didn't change the drop rate. So you do a stronghold and end up with like 1 to 3 MW and there is an almost infinite chance of them being crap. Not "bad", but "CRAP". I take a "bad" one at this time lol.
Don't even hope for a "good" or "godly" one
Oh and I still can't change FOV and this does become an issue for me now.
For now, I am done with Anthem, until they really fix it and actually turn it into a loot shooter.
So suddenly the game has problems?

Maybe you are looking at the wrong reviews. I've seen plenty of reviewers complaining about the loot system.
Pretty much. The EPIC to MW is a massive boost but after that, there is not much to do at all. No proper set items or new loot nor has an end game.
MW to Legendary is a nice upgrade but not as big as epic to MW. The stats are all over the place and make no sense. Neither do the completely random inscriptions. Going from 5% to 200% is silly. Also, most of the inscriptions are totally random making sense.
Lazy -> very much. The lack of any proper gear aside 2-3 sets of weapons from each category, there is nothing left. The MW/legendary are the same design but with a fresh coat of paint.
I haven't played for the last 3-4 days and I don't miss it...at all. Decked out MW and few legendary and there was nothing to progress nor grind as:
1) stats were all over the place
2) there was no proper way to calculate your stats due to lack of proper stats page
3) lack of stuff to grind
Doing GM2 runs and taking an hour to finish just to see more rares/epics is completely pointless. The crafting system is terrible. The 1 random MW barely makes it worth either when I could just run legendary contract (x3) daily for it. Not that any extra MW is going to make a huge impact when you are already equipped with MW fully...
There is this grind but just painfully slow and boring (lack of variety)
Normal contracts are +50 rep, legendary ones are +100. Yeah, no thanks. All that so you can craft MW items.
The grind is nothing like Diablo nor anywhere near it with current loot table.

I never claimed the game doesn't have issues.
The Game has 99 problems, but loading screen ain't one.
Tbh, right now, the only issue that Anthem has, that makes me not want to play anymore right now, is the loot issue. It's too scarce AND too crap. I mean, either have plenty of loots and every now and then a good one, but at least you get materials to craft OR make loot rare BUT GOOD. As rare as it is now, all things considered, every item should be at least USEFULL lol.
Everything else, for me, is fine. Story, Combat, Technical etc. all fine.
Ofc none of the reviewers actually talked about that point, which just shows how little they've played before crying and bitching about "loading screens"...
There is absolutely no reason to be dishonest about it.
Nearly all of them have been talking of all the other flaws even the ones that talk about loading screens (and yes it was a problem for some). You just decided that was the thing to trigger you and be blind towards the rest those people complained about.
And before you cry again, I'll repeat: It is okay you like this game or some of it!
