I did everything right (I think), getting the guitar and teddy bear, saving fanatics, not killing unless being shot at, and so on... but the very last sequence I got spotted and ended up killing a couple of guys. I guess that's what caused me to lose him. Really ridiculous mechanic, if you ask me.
There are people that 'breeze' through the game and get the good ending / good outcomes.
So just 'think' again about what you did wrong.
Btw, there a cracl + 1.0.0.2 update on RIN that seems to work properly.
I thought all the good I did would compensate the one 'bad' Worst of all is I actually made it through the level undetected but went back to get more loot and then they found a body
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
I already fixed it, I just saved the game as often as possible and tried to sleep in the nearest bed, that resetted me apparently and now it works again.
Still, what a fucking retarded game. Glad I didnt pay money for this garbage

For what it's worth, the sad ending has its charm too...sort of
From how I see it the best course of action is always to just play games the way you like with no constraints and/or without jeopardizing the fun in order to align with the devs' artificial ethics. If the final result gives you the "bad" outcome, then..oh well
Tried it again, honestly for the graphics and once you get past all the shitty dialogues and cutscenes it’s a pretty good game.
But the graphics, christ. Rtx and HDR , running 4k 60 ultra ( heh but 0.4 shading, honestly not sure i’m guessing this is res scaling but game still looks great even at this res, guessing it’s like 1440pish but wanted that 60 smooth and RTX is too good to pass up, also weird cause i’m not seeing any aliasing but whatevs ). Cant use DLsS cause its borked with HDR.
Good to pass the time until sekiro.

finished the game too and despite being rough in the beginning, by the end i liked it very much.
going from zone to zone really felt like youre on an adventure and was well done with my favorite being the last one. with proper voice acting it could elevate the story so much more but still was ok in the end and i was less annoyed compared to when i started it.
finished... it wasn't a bad game but there were just too many stupid design decisions that made the whole thing drag on unnecessarily and at times just tedious to play.
this is a game that looks like 2019 (if you don't look too close that is) ... but all too often plays like 1999
Nope there is a frankenstein version floating around where they put updated files and slightly modified .exe of original cpy release to show v1.0.0.2 ingame, but that can lead to more problems that it solves.

I finished the game with that 'Frankenstein' version. No bugs, but I had 2 crashes with the game.
But people are reporting crashes even with the CPY 1.0.0.0 version afaik.
Finished it as well. Still got the good ending despite losing Duke 2 out of 3 is enough it seems
All in all, not a bad game but it was missing 'something'. I agree that following the crew on the train ride through the country/seasons felt nice. I think the 3rd area, the forest, was my favorite. It didn't have the visuals of the previous chapters, I thought, but it was the best one in terms of survival and (lineair) exploration. I didn't mind that sneaking was easy. I'm not too fond of games forcing it one you, in order to get the best result/ending.
By the 3rd chapter, I was hardly killing enemies anymore. Even when fighting groups, running around like crazy knocking them out, wasn't that hard, especially when enemies only have bows (playing on medium difficulty).
The final chapter was a bit disappointing, because you don't get to do much (pretty much sums up the whole game ). Exploding arrows are clearly the way to go in the end
I'd give it a 7/10
Guess my previous comment was too much for the humps
Anyway, isn't this game kind of boring? Open maps where all you worry about 24/7 is if you have enough resources to deal with anything you meet. And the voice acting is pretty horrible.
Been playing v 1.0 not wanting to wait for a cracked patch any longer, turns out It didnt need dlss anyway. 6600k and a 2080 (both ocd)) keeps a min 60 fps at .7 render scale on 4k nigh 95% of the time. Ultra settings, RTX High, and motion blur disabled via cfg.
some impressions:
Raytracing is the freaking future, its a shame they went with an open world when the confined areas of the metro would have served the lighting effects alot better imo. Materials look so great in indirect light something thats always been off before in games
The smoke/gas effects are butt ugly and really out of place with the great lighting
Mouse feels wierd, but the gunplay feels pretty good.
so much talking and exposition, too much of a good thing imo
Again not a fan of the way the game is build, finished the bridge thing and was sent on to the next area even though I felt there was alot more to do in the other area. I feel linearity serves a game like this better(but maybe im just sick of open world everything)

I fucking hate it when games start this whole guilt trip bullshit. "Don't enjoy the game the way you want, restrict yourself and be a pussy or we'll make you feel bad"
I try to be an ok guy but good thing I'm not taking it to that level since you get a bad ending for a single fuck up from hours ago anyway.
Yeah I regret sneaking the whole game as I still got the bad ending
