Quote: | $1 Million Bill
According to a news release from the Associated Press, a woman attempted to purchase goods at her local WalMart using a $1 million bill. Of course the U.S. Treasury does not make a note of this kind, so the funny money was quickly detected. Reportedly, Alice Pike tried to purchase more than $1650 worth of goods using the counterfeit bill. Perhaps she was planning to visit Target and K-Mart next; Ms. Pike was found to be in possession of two other $1 million notes. |
WTF is wrong with people like that? It actually isnt the first time I see something like that, I remember someone being arrested for using 200 dollar bills... I mean, are they retarded? Seriously.. |
Ive asked myself the same question dude.
I can understand wanting or trying to run a scam on someone, but shit like that is just ridiculous...must have been on something when she decided to use her million dollar bill...
retarded, since in canada anyway, u can buy a million dollar canadian bill from novelty shops and shit ive seen novelty us million dollar bills too. Like, they real...except for the fact that its a million dollar bill

Actually, that article explains fairly well some of the ways people get busted for using counterfeit currency. The best way to avoid that, of course, is to be a bit more creative than following instructions from howstuffworks.com (the logical equivalent of bringing a cup of pennies to a casino and trying to pass them off for $100 chips).
If you want some real advice (educational purposes only, of course. I don't think anyone here's dumb enough to fuck with the secret service over a couple hundred $), this might be useful:
