Posted: Fri, 10th Feb 2006 03:37 Post subject: A Couple of Tips for the Noobs |
|
 |
I'm just going to throw a couple of things out there for the noobs. First off, 3rd party software companys (Microsoft, Ect..) need all the money they can get their grubby little hands on. Thats why its wrong to pirate software. I personaly, would never be caught downloading software and cracking it just to avoid giving up my hard earned money to billion dollar companys.
The only problem is there are so many malissious hackers out there making it too easy for people to do. Come on! I mean its not fucking rocket science. If someone wanted to crack a game, or an application all they would have to do is follow the 3 easy steps below, and they would be robing those software companys blind in no time.
1) Get a bit torrent client. Bitlord is one example, but there are many more you can download for free off the web.
2) Do a Google search on torrent sites. <removed> would be a good example. There
you can search for all the games, apps, and movies you ever dreamed of. as soon as you click on the torrent for the game, app, or movie of your choice your client will start downloading it immediately.
3) Once the goods are downloaded, all you would have to do is run a google search, and you will find that some ravaging schurg of the cyberworld has allready done all the work for you. I will give you a good example of this too. Lets say you downloaded the game Black and White 2. You would just run a search on Black and White 2 Keygen, Black and White 2 cracks, Black and White 2 CD key, Black and White 2 S/N (serial number), ect. If you keeped looking you wouldl eventually find what you need to crack the game.
Its just plain wrong!
Regards,

I thin k I would have preferred a request. At least I wouldn't have had to read all that useless bit of information!
This will more than likely get locked and will deffo get edited at least. No links to 'illega' websites. Sure it's as easy as doing that ^... but we still aren't allowed to do it.

yea I'd say except for the link to a torrent site its a clean post. However the entire post could be summed up into 2 words one being a compound word.

It's all about awareness my man. I mean, if all these so called hackers, crackers, freakers, or what ever the heck you call them keep pirating games who knows what will happen. Mayby the software companys will just stop making games for us to play, and maybe hollywood will just shut down, and quit making movies for us to watch. Who knows Bill Gates might just say screw it, and shut down Microsoft all together.
There are billions of dollers lost anualy to copywrite infrigment, and I just think its wrong.

Quote: | Show me this alleged "loss" of money. Oh wait you can't as there's no proof of this. Pwn'd. |
Its a fact. Plain and simple. Betweem 4-12 billion dollars are lost anualy to software piracy. Check out the link below if you dont belive me.
http://taylorandfrancis.metapress.com/(eajjwk55wanufqzjjt3l4i55)/app/home/contribution.asp?referrer=parent&backto=issue,5,8;journal,51,62;linkingpublicationresults,1:100652,1
This is just one of the many case studys, and articals available online. I belive the search I used was "software piracy billions lost". Google Motherfucker! Can you use it?
But that is beside the point because you are an idiot if you did not pick up on the sarcasm in my previous posts. Do you realy think I would go around posting instructions that simplistic on cracking software if i didn't condone it? Thats of course if the tag Freel0ader didn't tip you off.
Next time get your facts stright before you go running your mouth.
Now whose pwn'd bitch?

Well if that one didn't do it for you I suggest that you read a diferent artical.
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=gmail&q=SOFTWARE%20PIRACY%20BILLIONS%20LOST
The real point I am trying to make here is that these 3rd party companys can afford it. And I sure as hell know I can afford free Software. I see all these articales as a score for the home team. Being me, and anyone else likes to play their video games for free, and stick it to greedy corporations at the same time.

yes but again its not true. Show me statistics that say money was lost because someone downloaded something instead of buying it. 99% of the stuff I download to test / for the hell of it. The other 1% is the stuff that I would buy but instead downloaded it instead. Quite often though i'd buy something after downloading it for serials and stuff. The only thing I don't buy are apps because of the cost of some of them (i.e. Photoshop) and the availabilty of alternatives.

All I have to say to that is I have already provided you with several links to statistical information confirming my point. That’s what a case study is, statistical information gathered by researchers. It’s not my fault if you choose not to read it. As for major software companies loosing billions annually, that’s a fact that anyone who actual works in the software industry can tell you. I think the big difference here is you provided us statistical info on only yourself. 1 in 5 billion people. I think its great that you at least steal your apps, but the statistics I have provided are based on much larger groups, and are therefore more accurate.

Also, must say this was a really interesting introduction, you'll learn over time that any point you try to make (no matter how sarcastic) will be argued against by someone on this forum.. Thats the fun of the place I guess.. Hope you stick around! |
Thanks sYn, I just might do that. ohh... And you should know that I do genuinely share your distaste for leet speak.

Or you could just read the NFO included with the download using wordpad or using DAMN NFO http://www.softpedia.com/get/Office-tools/Text-editors/DAMN-NFO-Viewer.shtml
Most contain CD/Keys and S/N.
Keygens are normally located in some sort of "crack" dir along with the NFO.
No need for google. Most "crack" sites you find using it are full of spam and adware.

A torrent is kind of like a puppet, but shaped as an orchid with a hint of sunflowers. =)
--
I'm greedy and happy with the games that currently exists. Sure, i'd like more massproduced/milked fps games, but I wouldn't buy em even if they weren't released, they're just not good enough. I want a long experience and I want to have fun playing the game over and over again, of course it's just not a realistic demand but hey, I'm picky.
I guess there is one FPS game i'd want to atleast play, and that's crysis, but I wouldn't cry if it was canceled.
The only games I buy are MMOs, since I have to. So if everyone stops producing fps/singleplayer games, fine by me. |
I wouldnt mind an new fps/3 rd person shooter...one that is immersive tho. Not just run around and kill shit but one that focus's and follows a storyline.
There havent been many games as of late that held my attention and actually had me wanting to play.
