Nice. Love Guerrilla. Hopefully similar to that and not Armageddon crap. The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Yup, Armageddon is way above Guerrilla in my eyes. A good return to the way the series started, while using the tech they made for Guerrilla, without shoehorning in the open world. There is one part about Guerrilla which I absolutely loved and it's when you follow those marauders to their hidden land. It's a cool concept and felt really eerie. What I would really like is a return to the more atmospheric/immersive first-person origins, but a third person chaos simulator Guerrilla-style powered by an evolution of the ol' Geo-Mod and a world that doesn't stink of laziness would make me a happy panda as well. A lot of older shooters are brought up often because yes, they were generally better, although I do think the genre has gotten better again than it was in... say... the 2000s. Anyway, the first Red Faction is not one I see mentioned anywhere much. It's been a few years since I last played it, but it held up very well. It has its issues (I remember some enemies towards the end being absolute bullshit), but the campaign is such a fun rollercoaster! Guerilla was fun, but i also still prefer the geomod tech of red faction 1 which focused more on actual geometric modifocation. Destruction felt more visceral than the building collapsing in guerilla.
