cant wait, especially for red alert 1, and also:
will they remaster the FMV videos as well?
It's clear that if they didnt dump the recorded stuff, they can reencode it with higher bitrate.
u people getting ur hopes up for no reason, the fan remake is more then good enough, let it RIP , we gave them already enough of our cash and look what necrofelia they did with the cash
Actually i am a big C&C Fan, i even had Newssite back in the day and connections to Westwood/EA and i can tell you that i dont have any hopes after C&C TT came out.
This here doesnt do anything to me, i dont have any expectations or whatsoever.
Ill wait and see what gets delivered and then i make a decision. So far i could avoid buying any EA game in the last 15 years.
I remember how stupid the units were, they didn't close in if they got attacked by a unit that had longer range weapons so you had to be extra careful if you had a Saudokar or other expensive short range unit.

True, I mean this series was 1-2 maybe 3 great games in their day. Yet EA have made something like 18 releases from it, EA are not stupid when it comes to making money, they know people will buy.
None of their other games have really hit the spot for me either, like they just cant make a good 3d game. They are billions also easily beats that conan game they just did at half the price + a campaign as well.
Replaying the original games last year, I remembered how unforgiving these were compared to games nowadays. But still fun to play even with the outdated gfx. So I hope they dont derp them down!
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

no physicx, no new decals, rofl, what a rip off, all they did was add higher res textures ... modders could have done that decades ago if they had let them, fuck ea, forever
It looks fine to me. It's not like they could any better than this - if they deviated, people would have been pissed off and fuck off with the modern "low poly look" that a lot of games use that makes everything look cartoony.
Personally, I love the old school look. The old pixel art used in many of the early to mid-90 games is amazing and it has a lot of character. Games such as Warcraft 2 looked amazing and I never felt Warcaft 3 looked anywhere near as good. I'd much rather replay the second game than the third.
Looking solid for a remaster. I would have preferred a full-fledged remake done properly on a modern engine, but that would have required too much work
I'm not sure why they needed/wanted to remaster the in-game voices, but oh man.. yeah, if they can pull off a good remaster of the FMVs that would be ace!

A thing that most of the remasters forget, and I was just thinking the other day….its ok that graphic wise they remake a game, but how about the audio? nothing happens in that regard…
Well this might be an exception.
(but yes, FMVs, ingame graphics are more important than the audio part)
I only ask because the voice quality, even in that comparison vid above, seems completely fine to me - not low or poor quality - and the tonal change is definitely noticeable. Still; seems they're going all out on the remaster so that's never a bad thing
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
