So im moving to a new appartment in 8 weeks and started to pack some stuff (might aswell..)

I knew I had alot of stuff laying about, but when I ended up packing 24 (!) moving boxes with just my amiga/c64/pc original games..I was shocked. I had no idea I had that much stuff laying about... next up is my 3000+ books. I really have to pay someone to carry my stuff this time (was 15 years since last time I moved).
Small appartment atm but somehow it feels like i have brought in stuff enough to fill a really HUGE appartment.

Ah well - the bitching will be over once we have finished moving. (crap..just realized that those moving boxes are just software.. I still need to pack all retro hardware too!)

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

Yeah, its quite the task.
We moved recently to a house and even with my experience in moving (did a lot of those at my last job in Belgium... we did all kinds of things) which would make the preparation easy and the move efficient... it was still tough.

Some tips:
- Number your boxes (all sides) and make a list of what's in them: paper and digital form. Not just which room it goes into.
- Think about how you stack and rig your items during transport (Use: Spännband and some thick sheets).
-If you're dealing with floors: you might want to think of hiring a moving lift (its totally worth it).

The awesome part: after packing and moving... you still have to work your arse off unpacking and assembling everything! Razz

Hope everything goes well and you end up in a better place! Smile
