Wasn't the beta release due out at end of September? Now, on the 12th of October, they had the head honcho post some "our game is evolving" bullshit and that the beta will be ready soon.

Looks like we've got another Chris Roberts in the making folks, because one just wasn't enough for this timeline. Very Happy

I wouldn't go that far. At least there's decent gameplay, smooth gameplay, and a large Act done (if it is the entire Act 1). Played it last year and ended up getting to a town where I couldn't go further, but did get 11 hours in.

Yeah it was coming together nicely for the last few alpha builds and hotfixes released but if they are expanding in scope that's a bit of a gamble, if sales start trailing off due to the pushed back release or just for any other reason that might see the devs having some problems with the new additions and finalizing the game but there's enough warning examples and failed games from just this so here's hoping the team has a idea of what they are doing and have a solid plan for moving forward with this and isn't just adding stuff in at random.

Which well it didn't feel like that for the current alpha at least, some new stuff were shown and added in response to feedback but they kept things down and the builds saw some really nice progress even if it's all currently kept to the first act which should be pretty close to complete now if not complete already.
(And then I guess we'll see what they show for the non-public parts of the game that won't be part of the test builds.)

I've the feeling that the person that voices these videos has absolutely no idea what is she talking about.

She's a "community manager", so her only job is to post updates on forums/twitter/facebook. Basically, a glorified secretary without the skill-set of an actual secretary. She gets to voice the videos because she's probably the only female they've got on payroll. Very Happy

But you know, in Ninja Theory the only female on their payroll was also a kind of a community manager / video editor who quickly got upgraded to the main character (actress) without any acting experience. And she even got an award for that.

Well, duh, they went all-in with CryEngine. What you are missing is that it's been in development for sooooo long. When the game does come out it'll either have a ton of love put in it or feel like a big disjointed mess.

I'm still waiting for those transformations they talked about in the kickstarter. They haven't said anything about those in a while. I hope they aren't gone at this point.

GG... Game has same horrible zoomed in view as PoE and UI elements are big af, atleast on a 16:9 aspect ratio (need to test asap this on my ultrawide monitor if its any different when i get to home, damn i hope its not the same case). Game has insane graphics, very demanding for a ARPG game tho in very high settings atleast, opening sequence with cinematics and gameplay was running 40ish FPS @ 4K on a 2700X + Radeon VII rig, after that runs solid 60fps, anyway im liking it so far.

EDIT: Looks amazing in ultrawide, FOV is different, not zoomed in.

This game gets a lot of grief because its been in early access for a long time with small updates, but it is fucking awesome....

Smooth gameplay, good combat, good loot, good customization.

Exactly, people seem to be retarded when buying EA games, are they expecting full game instantly, then they insult developers the most creative ways, just wow, perhaps steam should explain early access little better or something.

Or maybe the complaints are justified since the game reset like twice, removing promised features in the process.

Loving the game, damn assasin combat animations are great, feels gud to shred. Game is very tough at times, you actually need to fight against blue monsters etc.. You die very easily, feels nice.

Wrath of Sarisel Content Patch will be available in late September/early October.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

After Wrath of Sarisel and its debug phase including several hotfixes, the team will focus entirely on the release of the game. There is still work to do, but not having to divide our forces on an additional patch will allow us to go faster than the last few months.

This will lead Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem’s release date to January 2020.
