I’m using firefox and tried the extension called: down them all but ran into problems. It only downloads the small thumbnails not the pig jpg image fails

There sure is: Medusa from http://www.candego.com/candego.shtml
Version 1.1 is even freeware. Just stick in the webpage link, select imagetype, how many pages deep it should search etc. then once it dls the thumbnails, select them all then right click>download and it'll dl them all. It won't work for image hosting sites because of the .php but will work on sites like those quoted by the op.
There are several other progs like Advanced Pic Hunter, Teleport etc. that do the same job but I find Medusa to be the best.
