For me the movie was... meh. Nothing special, and I kinda liked Ron Perlman as Hellboy Very Happy

It was soulless, charmless mess. There were some Raimi moments. But the script and dialogues were shit, i didn't care for anyone in this movie. The chemistry between Hellboy and Broom was unbelieveable.
The cgi was tv level. Tbh everything felt like Grimm episode with higher budget and weaker script.
And enjoy your giant's flaccid cgi dick.

If you don't know the comic books you will be confused who is who and wtf is going on, if you know the comics you will be pissed how it shits and shortcuts the original story.

Quite bad. 5/10.

I didn't mind Hellboy himself, but there was no one in the movie that i really cared for. plot was super generic, almost on a South Park level where you get the sense it's something they came up with in 5 minutes to joke about genericness i movies.

Only me and my pal in the whole cinema heh

Too bad really, this means no more Hellboy movies for sure Sad

The CGI is so awful. There's a scene where Hellboy jumps into a crowd of CG humans, and it's on par with a PS1 era pre-rendered cutscene. Laughing

Sure, Del-Toro's Hellboy movies didn't have perfect CGI either, but at least they made up for it with great practical effects and rich visuals. This has neither.

Despite all that it's a very satisfying fun ride. The blood and gore is a sight to my sore eyes. Too bad monsters had only like 5 or 10 minutes to roam through London but omg such a delight!

And the jokes were good, 7/10

When I was looking over the Amazon Prime Video new releases in the US for this month it shows this coming toward the end of the month. One of the fastest movie straight to streaming if true I can think of in recent memory.

For fuck sake, have the balls to make some movies where bad guys wins, earth gets fucked up or something, this movie had some moments where it could turn into that, but nooo...

Neil Marshals "best" ... But complete shit.
Should stick to low budget b movies.
Not attempt big budget.
Disappointing.
Shit script.
Shit vfx.
Shit characters.
Shit setting.
Shit story.
Shit everything.
Even the gore is shit.
Baba yaga was dope tho.
Should have done a movie on that.
A proper horror movie set in that would have made a better movie than this complete shit.
